Agreed, but it only takes one crooked mind that will make a NoCD patch that will give away your CD key. I am well aware that not all that is found on the internet is bad, nor is it all good. As far as I'm concerned, I preffer not to risk it.
Ahh, I see. I'm glad you could interpret his post. Thanks for the heads up.Go&nd said:I think he means things like VirtualDrive or GameDrive (www.farstone.com). They require you copy an image of the CD/DVD to your hard drive, but they can compress that image.
eh? ... why do you think? there were way too many cheating.. Punk Buster is good.Sir_Brizz said:or for the disk!!
as for RavenShield, Ubi supporting PunkBuster was probably the WORST idea ever.

cuz all the same people still cheat. PunkBuster is one of the most terrible cheat-protection programs available. It really only keep casual cheaters from cheating (which in RavenShield was hardly any of the cheaters).Juguard said:eh? ... why do you think? there were way too many cheating.. Punk Buster is good.
Do you still have the shards laying around somewhere? I wonder what it looks like now.Curve[UK] said:Not being very funny or anything but we got a dog the same time as ut2003 and then it ate my cds![]()
Ummm....2k3 broke network compatibility in two (2) different patches that I know of, aka they aren't afraid to do it.Loibisch said:But he won't, you know.
A new cheat protection means an updated netcode, which means that everyone will have to get the new patch. The main reason they never fixed the cheat protection in UT2003 (which has been broken ages ago) was the netcode compatibility.
