Utxmp I play but not much right now it's still in beta I guess so more patchs maybe it'll be a fine game. FMI's doing a stellar job and as for Atari doing another xmp - forget it , even if they could they wouldn't . Atari went threw alot of backlash for the server and no support , people were so p-ssed off at atari the forums were full of rants and raves .Petitions were signed against atari , now I don't think atari will touch it . We all played this game together as friends and had a blast , now we're divided by the two games , having little pansey arguments doesn't solve anything . Play the game you want , thats all there is to it .
Er, sorry gecko, but all the major UT mods are already busy coding for UE3/UT2007. Ut2004 is a dead-end. Time flies and Spring 2006 is just around the corner.dutch_gecko said:The best way of saving this game is porting it to a new engine that is already well-established.
This is already happening. Where can you find it? Here.
Unreal 3 prob won't be made for a long time, at least 6 mo's to a year after UT2007 release. Best bet is to play UT2007's new "Warfare" gametype, which has many similarities to XMP. After that, who knows... There was rumor that Midway is trying to hire back some of the Legend developers for a special project using the UE3 engine. But that could be anything (might not even be an "Unreal" game).togmkn said:On a side note, it'd be cool if Unreal 3 had an XMP gametype.
