OK, I can't setup the speakers within the auto-mode or manual settings because I don't have a video source directly connected to my receiver. Any ideas?

Um, it looks like I might be able to go HDMI from the receiver to my new BenQ LCD monitor, but how do I do this without screwing up the video signal and settings from the DVI source of the computer video card? I don't think I can use either CRT or the old LCD as these all have VGA or DVI signals only.

Nevermind, the manual just said the OSD will not appear with HDMI so I'm screwed on that. What about monitor out on the receiver with RCA cord and somehow converting this to DVI or VGA to go into my new monitor?

This is all I can find right now, but I have to be able to get cheaper than this. All I need is something to display the OSD screen........not any complicated video.

No, the nearest TV is on the other side of the house (we only have one) and it's huge and extremely heavy. I also want to be able to check the settings every now and then to make sure they didn't get reset somehow. I've seen some other stuff on the internet with component video and RCA, but I doubt that would work with a computer monitor (although it might). F-ing Pioneer!:(

I found a converter for about half that cost, but I'm also exploring options of possible a portable LCD but the cheap ones don't specifically indicate video in would work so it's looking like the converter box. Here's the pcper thread I got going:

Another question: I had the crossover frequency set to 100 when I was using the old receiver (Onkyo), so I was figuring to set it at 100 again for the Pioneer. Does this seem logical as I'm still using the same satellite speakers and subwoofer as before?

Just hooked up the 120mm fan on top of the receiver blowing up (or sucking out, however you want to describe it). It's probably a little overkill, but whatever. Overkill's my middle name.;)

The converter to calibrate should be here in a week or two......stupid international mail crap.:(

Seems to be working out well with the fan being virtually silent and the anti-vibration thing wrapping around the fan a little to keep it in-place slightly better than a flat pad. Doesn't move around at all either.
