Not really, and I doubt it, A light usually changes from "S" - "U" when the static or BSP channels are removed and the user defines there own..

Exactly, the U stands for USER_SELECTED and the S for STATIC_AFFECTING.
So the U means that you are using channels not set by default, whether they are skybox, unnamed and so on

Still lots to go, I'm still tinkering with the base textures.. the scrolling text is giving me guff because I used a 32x1024 texture. Should have more to come, I plan on finishing this in the next few weeks.

this is a map iv considered remaking myself, its the only DM map i ever had much fun on, I almost did remake it at one point I know alot of people wanted me to, but I moved on to CTF-Stratus. Id really love to see an epic quality level made of this map.. remember a remake doesnt have to look anything remote to the original, as long as it has the same "KEY" features and close to same layout.

I know on a small DM map, Id just go crazy with meshes because your not as limited with larger maps, this is yet another in many, I havnt even looked twice at the others.. spend some time on it and people will give it a go.

kinda of tricky to go crazy with meshes, I hand copied every piece of bsp from the original map. So I have to chip off and then mesh the existing bsp. I chose to work in the constraints that the collision should stay about the same as the original. It makes it an interesting project :p. And since the tower is so tall I pretty much have to use bsp for it's entirety as I worry about making the map too resource intensive.

Been playing round with the techtonics of my terroformer map. Basic idea is; Snow planet with Terraformers creating green areas arround map. Large centeral area gives location for Greed hq things whist toggaleable secondary Terraformers give both access and denial to extra weapons / access routes.

I've made some progress with dynamic sky and weather system..

Pics don't do it any justice, or show all the combinations, but I guess it shows the general idea.
(right now I'm just tweaking the materials and ironing out some kismet bugs)
