It'd be interesting to see NYC get it but it's unlikely due to a recent American Olympiad, as well as Madrid for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Moscow, who would be using 32 year old venues instead of new stuff which Paris and London would be offering, seems another unlikely candidate. So it comes down to Paris and London, and my understanding is that London's local businesses don't want new construction. However, Jacques Chirac dissed Britain's cuisine, so they probably don't deserve it.
