I have backed the Pebble Time on kickstarter. I have wanted a smart watch for a while and I'm glad I went the way of Pebble because the Apple Smart watch is stupid money and I have expect it to get 'upgraded' in a year or 2.

Some aftermarket coolers, and some peripherals. Good...now maybe I can concentrate on the main PC parts by the time tax refund comes about (CPU, mobo, RAM, GPU, Case, PSU, etc...):

I was finally gonna buy a new video card this week. However my wife fell out of the shower and broke the toilet quite soundly so I bought 1 of these. Gonna be a couple more weeks before I am p[laying UT. grumble grumble grumble

...What? She's fine. Just some bruises. If she would let me install anti-slip mats in the shower it would never have happened.

Yeah, I hear ya. Originally, I didn't want to splurge on getting the RAM on top of the Max VII Hero and 4790K, to have that $200 for stuff like that, but I felt, well, if it'll help me finish this build sooner, might as well get it overwith and done for. Maybe Uncle Sam might boost me in other areas sooner than later with a tax refund. Who knows?

Not gonna happen here. I owe every year because of my wife's trust fund that we don't see anything on until July 2016... so I have to always be 4 steps ahead of the bills. This year I only owe $500ish due to diligently itemizing and tracking potential deductions throughout the year. Technically I still have the money in the bank to buy a card but but if I spent it and something happened it could have a bad domino effect. Maybe I should sell some of my fossils on ebay... it would be quicker then saving money back up.

Honestly unless you already had at least 8 GB of similar RAM I wouldn't even want to put those parts together yet. I don't have data to back it up but my gut says that CPU + low amounts of ram would equal a serious performance bottleneck. So to me it made good sense.

Well, thankfully, if I do go with anything else next pay period, it'll be fairly minor, if at all. A second SSD and the ROG front bay controller might or might not exactly be necessary, but certainly helpful to offset having to use the UEFI and the stress of the Windows boot speeds, and capacity, etc... Those would be nice, but...at least I did get the basics out of the way. :)

As you can probably guess, this build that I'm doing is certainly intended for GTA V PC, Half-Life 3 (eventually) and right through the Windows 10 era of gaming (let's hope).

Well, if there are any NEW games released on the UE4 Engine, then I'll certainly give those as much consideration as ever.

Although Bulletstorm and Nightfall will certainly both get a boost from the new hardware.

Wound up with some cash I wasn't expecting. As a result I picked up an...

MSI GTX 960 GAMING 2G

I was originally going to get at least a 970 but it wasn't that much cash. So far it has seemed more then adequate to play UT outpost 23 on max settings @ around 90-100fps.

aslo a better Router because I get internet capable of 300mb/s down 50mb/s up and my old router maxed at 50mb/s full duplex. Though one of the wired pc's is only a 10/100 which means I either put it on wireless or get a gigabit card, but that should only be another $10-$20
