the real truth is that i hope i'm wrong and Epic comes with some kick-ass PC based stuff

Well, if Mike Capps is replaced we maybe even get something worth being called Unreal Tournament. ;)

(Would be even better if it wasn't Unreal Tournament, the blurry,overbloomed,washed-out-grey-and-brown Edition)

Hey guys, Jeff left of his own accord, and on very good terms with Epic. He dedicated five years of his life to the company, and we're grateful for that.

We still love the UT series, and are working away on some great new content. It will be up to you to decide whether or not to check it out, but try to keep an open mind until we are able to release more information.

to be little bit ontopic,

maybe Legendary Pictures is interested in the gaming sector because they see some money in it.

That's good to hear about Jeff. I wish him the best of luck in his endeavors.

And on the UT front my mind is wide open ;)

Thank you, Crowl, for coming to this community and filling Jeff's shoes. I know that you'll have to suffer all sorts of slings and arrows here from disgruntled UT series fans like myself, but I hope that you'll still become an active poster, filling us in on what's going on and addressing some of the players' concerns.

Remember--we all love the basic game play of Unreal Tournament even if we were very disappointed with UT3. We're all hoping that Epic will release a real UT99-2, fully polished and designed for the PC with a user interface and server browser that's as good as what we have now in UT 2004. We know that you guys can do it but we question your desire, and we're very concerned about the perception that you're sacrificing the quality of the PC versions of the UT games in order to focus on producing console games.

I'd be happy to consult with you guys if you hope to release a UT4 or UT 3.5 and want to resurrect the series's popularity.

Whipper Snapper, lets just get one thing straight. Your NOT the community and you in no way speak for the community. Many of us love UT3, and many more prefer UT3 over past UT games. I for one did like UT1 more than UT3 or UT2k3/4 but its obvious a ton more work went into UT3 than UT1 and its obvious Epic is trying to make great games. You don't spend as many years on a game as Epic did on UT3 if your not trying to make a good game....

I feel pretty confident that I could do a good job of representing the interests of the UT99 clan and PUG match community as well as the more general interests of most UT fans. I have been an active member of numerous UT communities for years, I have played the games extensively, I have chatted with a great many UT players about these subjects, and I have a good understanding of the game's issues.
