This isnt nonsense but since it took me 3hours to do, im gona share it :)
I have a penny Jar that i`ve been building for years, and it was almost over flowing lastnight, bank time! :D (about that feather...one day, instead of a seagull dropping crap at me, he dropped a feather that got my eye!! /me throws stones at him >:\ )

The whole thing weighs just over 1 stone! (14lb / 6.35029Kg / 224 oz) :p
so i sat infront of the tele with good o`l VH1 classics going and i counted each set of 1p coins, 2p coins, 5p coins, 10p coins and 20p coins.
Each set had to come to a certain ammount so that bank can just weigh it.. like a bag of 1p must add up to £1 (100 pennies for the blonds :biggrin2: )

so i got...
£5 from 1p
£5 from 2p
£15 from 5p
£15 from 10p
£20 from 20p
£6.50 from the last that couldnt be bagged
and....... 1 dime!! some bugger gave me American money!
I got £66.50 from my jar :) I put my reciept at the bottom so i can compare what i get next and how long it too me.
Think i`ll get the new GTA game with the money :)

I just use the change sorting machines at my bank :)

It takes 2% or something but I figure it's worth it considering how much time it takes to roll it all. AFAIK you can't weigh like that here, if you don't have a sorting machine you have to roll the currency in papers which is a major pain. You not only have to sort them you have get them all in a stack and then slide them into a slip that's exactly the size of the coins.

BTW I love the 2p coin, I've got a few around that I held onto the last time I was in the UK. It's just such a worthless coin, it's large, heavy, and only worth 2p. Like the $2 bill we scrapped only even more useless ;)

We have "pay-in slips" here, where you put notes but not heavy bags of coins :p
Scotland used to have £1 notes.... i LOVED them but now they are gone :hmm: but i liked the Canadian money too ... "Toonies and Loonies"
What sucks is that the phone bill came this morning! lol there goes my money o__- Just after i got a new game
(GTA was sold out in many places so i got "the getaway" which is based in London..which is better because it feels so good to drive on the left side of the road :) )

Yeah there was nothing that startled me more than handing someone a £5 note for a soda or something cheap and getting back a handful of coins only.
