high speed shooting. bright lights. and a good lense.

Well two of the three I can control with my current set up. I took a bunch of photos today at an event but it seems that a majority of them came in out of focus... not like "omg wtf is this?" out of focus, but just a bit to where it takes away from the picture. Granted I was shooting in shutter priority with manual focus...
