the one big question in my head though is did these guys plan this from the start with deliberate intentions to steal content from various games to help them make their own *hit* game, knowing they would be breaking laws doing so.. hoping to make a good amount of money and then disapear retiring on what they made (laughable plan?). Or are they actually just older, and quite dim where copyright law is concerned and didn't realise that the way they were making their game was in fact illegal and could result in the media storm and possible (should I say probable) lawsuits?
There's the saying "There is no bad publicity". I can imagine this paying off in the long run.
John Romero's about to make you his bitch
Frankly, the game probably would've done even worse if it wasn't for initial hype.Hey, you *know* someone bought the game just to see how bad it'd disappoint them.[SAS]Solid Snake;2144597 said:John Romero's about to make you his bitch
Seems they were stealing backgrounds back even when the game was being made for the Amiga. Look at the background, the lines on the walls. Apart from minor edits, they're exact.
(unless the xbox live crowd has found a way to copyright this..)
