Hopefully enough people show up to fill the server, to make us have to get a 2nd server to play in. I wish. 2 full US servers would be nice...but...a pipe dream.

I'll continue to whine about how my shots are not hitting when the elite players don't have this problem somehow.

The only problem is that it's way too late and I was too tired to play even the second match (see my score is 0) and before the choppy problems.
Last time I could stand it, not now.
Btw...

I have had that LCD ghost thing again today...........
And I didn't take shot fast enough because the batteries were not working so i had to change them etc.

Chaptor1 is fixed. Gab found the files to make Towels work. So the server should not disconnect people anymore. He added a few more maps too, including Baseline!

P.s. If your XMP crashes when you click Play Online, you need to fix it following these steps:

Should you still have problems, you can connect manually. For Chaptor1 server, press Tab on title screen and type this command:

I was about 15 min late today, hope I didn't miss anyone... We played 12 matches, not counting the matches we mapvoted out after a few minutes I only have 6 screenshots though.
(I'm getting too old for this, if someone can take over this job...)

I played with Abraxas earlier, but that doesn't count on your list though. I was there then in chaptor waiting for someone to show up, then artHeist showed up on the islands map, then it switched to Hell, then you came at the end.
As for maskedbandit, who knows, but she showed right in time as I said that we need some maskedbandit and helped a bit to save the situation in sunsetbeach, lol.

Hey guys, tomorrow night is XMP night again!

Chaptor1 is working nicely as usual, and now it added both FreeFall Returns and Garden Sideline!

Unfortunately I will be in school until 4:30 (7:30 EST) so I probably can't get home in half an hour More likely I'll be there around 9pm. So don't wait for me to start the party at 8pm EST... just make sure you're still there by 9, so I get to snipe your asses!

BTW if and when I get in, I'll be recording the game for YouTube, so don't embarrass yourselves! hahahah

Last Wednesday i was in the "zone", let's hope i am in the "zone" again today. My crosshairs never left the player, although the hit detection crap was still in effect. I may stay all night long, or i may ditch to play cod4 for the 360. If i'm sucking all night i probably will take whatever screenshots i have and let tak do the rest when he plays.

I have a few vids of last night, but I just found out that YouTube has a 10 minute limit per video.

Does anyone know of a free video editing software that works with MP4?

I looked at Movie Maker but it can only encode into WMV. I just don't have time to encode anything. If I can find a software that can split the MP4 video into shorter segments, without having to re-encode it, then I will try YouTube again...

BTW we had a pretty good turn out last night. Hope I can get those videos online soon

Movie maker's easy to decode it and rather fast. Youtube won't accept WMV?

Don't use YouTube, what's from it anyway. The window is small, and the graphics are lowered heavily. You can use other video hosts, like Google Videos or MetaCafe.

The reason I don't want to use Movie Maker is because it will take a long time to encode the video after editing. If you are doing one video maybe it is tolerable, but if say I want to upload 3 videos, it adds up and I simply don't have time to sit there for 2 hours to get them all encoded.

YouTube can go full screen - just look for the icon. Also it usually shows a low quality version at first, but there is a small link on the page to go high quality. My videos are 640x480@30fps MP4, and the high quality playback from YouTube seems to be the same quality as my original files. Check the XMP-Closure video I uploaded.

In addition, if I have the editing software, then I don't even need to start and stop the recording during the match (can't and don't want to upload 2 hours of gameplay in one big video). I would be able to simply cut out portions of it to upload. I saw some $50 software that can do exactly that, in a quick Google search. Will keep looking...

Well yeah I know about that, but well you can wait, just let the computer running. The movie maker is easy to use, even I used it when editing the videos from digital camera and separating them to smaller files.

VirtualDub is free and is great for making small edits like the ones you're after. Unfortunately I don't think there's a single editor in the world that can do the chopping without re-encoding - I think it's just something that has to be done. If there's no size limit to youtube videos and you don't mind the upload taking forever, you could re-encode it to something less efficient but quick, like MPEG2 or XviD.

Gecko, as I said many professional editing software can do that, cut/join without re-encode. It depends if the codec allows it (especially joining). Fortunately I found a free one with MP4 support!

It's quite simple to use, and after I did my editing, it took less than a minute to save a video file. I edited five videos today, in my truely spare time (between classes, or between doing stuff at home...).
