INFMOD Weapon Pack 1.3 Released!

    Well, after being a lost cause so many times already, here is the long awaited Weapon Pack 1.3.

    This update is much smaller then planned, but other smaller updates might be done on a more regular basis, shifting from a "large package" release strategy to a more "small update based" release strategy.

    The new additions are the M14DMR, the M82A1 and the OICW (yes, that was the little surprise). Many other weapons where tweaked a little and some bugs where fixed. The most important changes were done with the Nades that now also include some level of anti-cheat protection (especially for those who disabled the flash grenades client-side).

    It is VERY important that you take the time to read the Readme file, especially the section covering installation. It is highly recommended that you take the time to read the parts of the readme covering the new weapons. The OICW is a very complex weapon system with a lot of features, including adaptative zeroing and intelligent grenades.

    Another note...

    This package is not perfect and still contains a few bugs (yes it does). It could have been tested much more, but none of the bug really affects gameplay or the game stability. Development will continue...

    Please, oh please, avoid any "this is not right", "i don't like this or that", "please change this"... this system is there for reporting and tracking bugs. Not a forum for philosophical discussion about realism or requests.

    Whats wrong with the jog? And I have to say I don't like beeing hit and still fight thing, with all these red techno view and so.
    SAD! The M14DMR has this unesthetic switch to aim (not fluid) :(

    But it rocks.

    What the ... did I typed there?

    Ok again:

    1) Why is the jog so slow, or does it depend of the weapon now?
    2) This injury system is a bit uncomfortable, sure have to be, but you get hit hundret times and still crawl with the red techno view flash.
    3) The M14DMR, when you switch to aim, it interrupts the gun movement, than the gun instantly appears pointed forward, where it goes to aim. But I know, it is not perfectly finished, but why EXACTLY THIS! Make it with all other gunz :p.
    But the model is cool,I would wish a brownish wooden M14 with a rifle grip would be the ironsight version, the green fibre stock would be the sniper as it is in reality.
    So the M14 would compete with the G3A3, but I have to say I like the sideways position of the DMR, looks a bit like... lowready.

    1. Jog slow? Too much bulk in your loadout? I don't remember any feature that slows your speed depending on your weapon. Only bulk should do that.

    2. Injury system? What? WP1.3 is just weapons. You're probably being affected by a separate mutator.

    Oh an UN17, tried with chrisOGL, DirectX, and software render, they all have the exact same problem.

    Is it me or is 8 bulk for 10 rounds of .50 BMG really big and bulky.
    Considering 5 rounds of .50 DMC is 2

    And is it me, but are these new sniper rifles really hard to control, without holding your breath. Even while prone.

    And the final thing, Whats with the rubber bullets from the silenced verison of the M14?

    OK, I just came home with a snack. I see you aren't less touchy then with the last release, already worring about minor things and bulk.

    The M14 problem is a bit awkward though. It seems, from the code history it was always like that, eventhoug beta testing NEVER pointed it out. Not too sure what to say other then I'll have a new package ready by tomorrow... with more testing. You are right, the damage is really set to 0.

    You know, that's always like that... the stupidest and most obvious bug always comes through into the final release for some reason.

    Well i killed often enough with a m14 while doing beta tests, you might remember all my whining about its too strong...no idea why that doesnt work now.

    Losus_Deliosus: We came across that problem when clients used the UTPG 451 patch. Reinstall 436 - there's no real reason to use 451 anyway unless you're on Linux or running a server.

    first great job.

    now the damage issue with M14 supressor : im happy to see it noticed here because i thought i saw that when i played with IBT mutator and i thought it was incompability between the 2..

    NOW FOR ANY BULK ISSUES: put IBT mutator with Weapon pack 1.3 and all your BULK issues are solved because with IBT bulk dont affect max stamina or aiming, only movement speed.

    so put ibt on servers + wp 1.3


    i like the oicw its fun.

    the m14 is bigger than expected. good gun. a bit hard to aim tought.

    the Big sniper is very good:D:D

    Awesome! Great! WOW! M14 is awesome...and the big sniper...I need a vehicle to carry it around :D
    OICW is fantastic...firing nades is so much old-fashioned-UT-style I simply love it!
    Great work geo and INF Mod Team and all the others who contributed to this! Thank you!

    btw: I think what Psycho"Low Ready"morph is missing is a part of the animation, when you aim the M14...
