If you had a Translocator in real life, what would you do with it?

Don't you get something like "Teleportation Related Dementia (TReDs)" when you use the translocator too much?

It says in the game manual that "rapid deresolution and reconstitution of the subject organism can have several unwelcome effects, including increases in aggression and paranoia, as well as increased probabilities of respiratory and cardiac arrest."

The problem with this is, you get six discs to start, and they recharge what, every 5 seconds?

If that sort of rapid use is constituted safe by the limits in the competition, then I don't see how you can possibly get hurt :D

As for me, I'd get into an airplane and shoot one of the discs off over Washington, D.C., and hope for a lucky shot :trans:

Woah. I think that means you just wouldn't move, right?

This gets me thinking... what happens to the disk when you translocate to it? Why does it just vanish? And where do you end up in relation to it?

Actually, I think Nite would just move up a few feet.
If the TL were real, it would have to have some type of self-orienting system otherwise you would end up materializing into the ground, or a wall, or whatever.

I would assume that it "broadcasts" your signature upward, since it would really suck to be teleported upside down and clunk your head on the pavement
