Why all the extra slots Dev? We get 4 to start with right?
Emhry is cool. How about Sylvari for the race that would be different.

What's real nice about this is you won't need to be at TAZLAN to play with us as a group! So many Events and Challenges require a group! The only think you do Solo is your personal story. I think we can put that on hold for a bit. The only think left is to select a Race and Server for everyone to start out. I think our Senior Assassin

Why me? Ehmry Bay seems to be fine. I don't understand the point of naming them. They're all the same anyway right? You know I will be starting Human Necro. I also plan to do a Charr (probably Guardian). Possibly a Sylvari Ele. I don't really know if I want to make an Asura. They're silly squatty creatures. I guess we'll see what elite skills they have and then make a decision.

I just want to be sure I can have some really cool looking characters in the long run, once they have all kinds of fancy armor and stuff.

No Biggy BC.. Was hoping we can all create a character at TAZLAN and start out together. Sylvari Ele will be one of mine, Norn Warrior or Ranger, and a Human Guardian, not sure on the rest..

Perhaps we should come up with a small list here of what people intend to have as the "primary" character, including Race and Profession. That way, in the (hopefully) frequent event that many of us are on playing together, we have a majority of the abilities covered.

You know my primary will be a Human Necromancer

I feel I can speak on Aaron's behalf when I say he'll play an Ele... race unknown. I'm not certain with Todd... either ranger or warrior most likely.

As for secondaries:

I think I've settled on Charr Guardian for certain. A Sylvari Thief, Ele, or Mesmer, and one I just cannot put my finger on yet.

Also, who else is joining us on this adventure? This is probably the closest we'll get to cooperative gaming since UT. Jason, I know you still do plenty of gaming... will you be getting GW2? Lurk? I know Morty is pending time and a new gaming rig.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm trying to be as prepared as possible with Races, professions, and names so I can get in there and create my characters.

Alivia Starlite - Human - Guardian

Arwen Starlite - Norn - Warrior

Astra Starlite - Sylvari - Ele

Athena Starlite - Char - Ranger

Not sure of the rest.. Might try a Asuran Thief to check the race out.

Was hoping we could all start the same time with same race at the Lan.
How does Sylvari or Char sound for the LAN?

Silly Question..
Will we use the same GW2 Beta Files (GW2.dat) to log in when we go live on 8/25/2012?
Mine is already pretty big!

Has anyone heard anything different?

No idea. I don't see why it wouldn't work.


Also, I think I read somewhere they are deleting our characters BEFORE this beta starts. Not 100% sure I read it right tho.
