Yes, I had a pretty good time. I'm sorry I didn't really get a chance to do any events and kill stuff with you guys. I didn't really understand why we couldn't find each other at that one point. Whatever the "overflow" was. At one point (seriously over an hour later) I got notification that I could now enter where I wanted to go, but I canceled it because I was in the middle of something else.

It did take a little getting used to. I ended up really enjoying playing my necro. The next day I threw together a Charr ranger and a Norn Engineer. Ranger was okay, never cared much for them in the first game. Engineer seemed awful. Maybe I just didn't give it enough of a chance.

I'm looking forward to being able to get a group of us together just running around and doing whatever events happen to be in the area.

Yea, the Mesmer was OK.. Not a big damage Dealer. I look forward to creating an Ele and a Warrior.. When we had 4 on Sunday, We all went to a waypoint to meet. Everyone showed up but Dev. He just went to same Waypoint and poof he was there. I hope we can create builds more. The first four attack skills seemed fix but dependent on which weapon you have.

That's going to be it I think, all the other skills are determined by your weapon and the effect by your traits. So whatever points you put in your traits changes the effect of your attacks.

That too. I was reading the description on a couple of the Necro ones. They sounded pretty awesome. It also seems like some of the things that were "spells" in GW1, end up being inherent effects for your character once you're trait points reach a high enough level. You could end up being a real bad ass lol.

Some improvements would be free zoning, Red Dots for enemy, Agro Bubble, Target Calling

What does any of this mean? It sounds like you want the game to be Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter.

Also the skill system, looking at the recent posts, seems kinda shallow. :con:

I never played GW1 so I don't really know how that was with features and skills.

So if you never played GW1 why are you asking what I meant?
Go play GW1 and you will know exactly what I was talking about.

And the claws come out!

This is what the GW1 radar looks like:
Mineral_Springs_Bridges_from_Radar.gif

Note the red dots: Enemies
Note the faint white circle around the central green dot: Aggro bubble

GW2 doesn't have that, just a blank radar.

Free zoning I think he says that because you could travel anywhere in the Guildwars world at any time freely. You can in GW2 as well as long as you've been there before, however it costs a little bit of in-game currency to travel like that.

I have a feeling target calling will be introduced at some point. At least if you're part of a party, maybe not if you're traveling separately.

That's what happened to you DEV and Boney. Got stuck in the overflow when everyone else made it. You just had to try again...:)

Dang, doesn't give much time to do much.. Practice character creation.;)

This 7-hour test event, which runs from 11 AM to 6 PM PDT (-7 GMT) is open to all players who have pre-purchased Guild Wars 2. The good news is that we’re not wiping characters for this test; we’re using the same build that we used in the first Beta Weekend Event, so you’ll be able to pick up right where you left off.

Finished the personal story?? Holy crap. I figured it would carry on through the entire land at least somewhat. How did you guys level up so fast? Did you just play a lot more than me the first beta weekend? I'm only to level 15 or 16, and it's SLOW. The recommended level for my next personal story thing is 19.

I did get to do the boss fight in the swamp. He was pretty awesome.

It stated that for Beta this is the end of the Personal Story and it would continue once the whole game is released. I was level 19, mainly joining events and the personal story, plus undiscovered points of interest, waypoints, skill point sites gives XP.

I'll be on. I'll probably continue my current character and just roam around not doing any quests and just explore a little more. Still don't want to spoil myself the other areas :p
