Ironically, if there's one thing I've learned about women, it's that (edit: most) women have no clue what they themselves want. By implication, any statement that they make that attempts to analyze or explain women must immediately be taken with a pool full of salt.
Unfortunately, that leaves the other gender with the unenviable job of decrypting women's most convoluted behaviors.

none of these theories are accurate, most are huge generalizations, but each person talks about their theory as though it is infallible.
it's mostly guys creating the theories based on something that works for them personally, so they're mostly dumb and won't help anyone else.
