plus you guys are streching it there, not 7 not 6 ,
like my funky tankcleaner map,like i know way more than that guy and melfalls,but he puts a zero there,bet he cant do that level.
oh well........
My maps dont deserve zeros,
man just ruthless,

Sort of like that melfall map or sniper redeemer ,my maps are not that bad C'mon

I was just kiddin Red. No map deserves a zero and 0.5's have become things for people like :" I hate this level, but I don't wanna look like an arsch".

And IMO your levels are better, I don't know in wich way you mean it though. Yours LOOK better, but that shouldn't concern you and as for the gameply, well, taht's not no cup a tea, but Mells maps might do what he intended them to do, playing them funnel style, in wich case they might be great.

Well i know what I like,and I know what looks good,and plays good,but i kinda do maps,just stuff,if you look i have a variety,i wont say they are good for gamplay,nor will i say they are built well,nor look fantastic.
Plus the only 2 there atrodeck and skillstest are the ones ghostwheel did at least half of it,and they are the only ones that show up on servers.
I admit my maps are wierd,but still did tons of things to make them run fast and some lighting tricks,among other things,plus making those quake1 maps work for the bots,makes other levels i do childsplay for botpathing,i spend alot of time on that more than anyother thing.
But anyway,thanx if you removed some of the funky comments,i didnt check,got to cook steak outside

i dont think the other countries do things,they still need a revolution hehe.

Your maps aren't that bad. The construction's pretty good. It's just some of them are remakes. In my opinion pretty good remakes having played the original versions to death myself. If I was going to blow my own trumpet I would say I have never rated your maps lower than they deserved or revenge rated them (as a matter of fact I don't revenge rate at all). It's just that, in my opinion, remakes really don't rate any where near as high as original work.

No your a good scorer,commentor,fair and logical,I don't want people to think I am bitching all that bad,just some stuff is so illogical,but then trying to uinderstand them and then they paste a zero on top of that,is all.

And I admit I do judge hearshly and not give out 8 9 and 10's but mosly people seem to score to high,so i got stigmatized because i wont post 8 9 and 10's,but I am no crowning jewel either,however youl never see me post a zero,think i gave mels map a 1.5

Wether Hourences agrees or not,but that is the reason other good-pro mappers left or won't be back,but it's still nalicity staying alive.
And way back when,people didnt do all this as much (flaming) because the game was new.So of course the good mappers were IT and had no reason to leave.
Also I don't think we would want just one website for all of this stuff,so they do have a choice and can still get thier map,out there.

Just for the record,UT-unreal singleplayer mappers are the real mappers,7bullets is really good,for me it's better than unreal1,unreal2 and UT and ut2004.

Some say the scores are too low, now you say they are too high. Its never going to be good.
The game was not new, its 7 years old man, you werent around years ago and years ago it was exactly the same. 0's and 10's.
You see the pro mappers post somewhere else ? I dont, they simply dont give a fu<k about the community anymore, not a single site, thats why they left.
We had the complete monopoly long ago, thats why it was bigger back then. Now you got multiple sites that do the same. And then I dont mean review wise.

And this whole pro vs amateur crap is highly overrated and is totaly not possible to implent. An amateur map can be just as good or way better than a pro map. If I work for the local video games department of barbie I would already be a pro mapper, great :)

We actualy flamed A LOT more back then btw, litterally 20 pages of forum flame were common :)

I am used to see Amateur mappper comment a low score on a pro mapper. But i am getting used to it.

I found nalicity on the News page of my ut99 browser. So i always liked custom, i jumped around, and decided to register in 2003. The reason why i like nalicity is the constructive comments. I know a few people here that we can trust. Arcadia is a good guy and reviewer. Reviewer are important to maintain a site like nalicity. It always seem to drop though. Qa pete already reviewed here wich it was a big plus, i was not here to know why he left. But alot of reviwers are retired after even 4 month. That's their choise, and i presume that after 50 maps , you can get bored, you review so much that the first thing you think before going at work is that map you reviewed last night.

Another reason why i like nalicity is the layout of the site. The screenshot possition and our maps's profile page.

Ya your right there I wasn't around and or didn't really have UT I was and still are more of a singleplayer person.Allthough I did have unreal but never knew about an editor,wish I fricking looked.
And quake1 was pretty good and I was commimg in second or first online allmost all the time,but then they kept playing abaondoned base and badplace over and over and over.

Then after a year UT was out I got a copy and the first thing I hated and still do are the slow rockets,and the grenades from it are to floaty and you can't lay them down below your feet or they explode.
But I have came around here but never really knew the inside scoop or politics,I am real suprised flaming was going on.

And anothr thing could you explain the history of nalicity,because I know the planetunreal guys kicked you out of the isp or what happened?

I forgot the exact story, so long ago
QAPete who founded NC was also the main Planetunreal admin back in the days but he wanted to start his own site and therefor he and his entire team including all forumers left PU for the new site BU
The plan was to leave the sister sites like NC on PU for a little longer until BU itself completely settled and was up and running but GSI, gamespy industries who run PU, werent really happy with all this and trew all kinds of stuff of PU as counteract, NC included.

Or something like that :)

Oh thanks for taking out those gorky comments-score junk,I just seen it,specialy that atrocity thing.
Heh and the only stupid reason I named it that was so the map was on the top of the directory while editing it,then ghost just added the deck part,so i just left it.

Ahhh , i get it now. And Hal/Qa pete and the other admins are doing their best to make it the official Unreal ressource.

TBH, if some people are looking at PU eaveryday to see news about the unreal engine, they are wasting their time there. BU is always updated everyday and it's comunity is big, and keep getting better with new unreal engines/games. The forums expend and at least 10 new users register per days.

you forgot the best part of that story!
the beef between pete and GSI resulted from gsi trying to forcetheir crappy forum software on the vbulletin used puf boards. And somehow we NCers got the storm others sowed.
