Taque sucks, EAS doesn't, DTAS is awesome. The way you played it is how it was ment to be, being able to cap through floors. If an admin doesn't like that feature, he can simply alter the radius height and be gone with it. You speak lightly of a gamemode which is one of the best out there. But i guess you should have been here in the 286 days to fully appreciate it.

The best DTAS and EAS round I ever had are those where we didn't lose one men, see one enemy nor kill one. In and out.

This is what INF is meant to be. Infiltration. If your fun is *not* to avoid combat, then your fun is not what INF is meant to be. Your fun is what Tac ops, Counter Strike and cie are there to give you.

During the GD trainings, I've always told my teammates, the best attack is the one that brings you to victory without putting your team in danger. If you get in to the objective and take the objective without having ever been detected, then you really won.

Zzzzz, and no. my fun is not tac ops or CS. infiltration doesnt have guns so that you dont use them. infiltration was not meant to be splinter cell, i assure you. when i said not avoiding combat you made it sound like i like to rush in with guns blazing. i dont. sure, i like a firefight now and then, but i love attacking my enemies when they dont have the slightest clue i am nearby.

i am an elimination type guy. i dont like to avoid combat and take the easy way out. if i can kill atleast one guy before i die in a game, then i have done my job. this ofcourse does not mean i will attack stupidly. tactical elimination is my favorite thing to do in inf. i love team tactics, playing smart, etc.

i hate tacops and CS, i dont know what cie is, and how do YOU know what inf was supposed to be? did you come up with infiltration? people, quit saying this is not inf and this is not what inf is supposed to be. inf is my favorite game for many reasons. the attribute i like the most is the realistic fighting. in tacops and cs all you get is random nading, god weapons, and cheaters. all inf is supposed to be is realism. it does not matter how you like to play or what your favorite gametype is... all it is supposed to be is realism, that's it. what's next? are you going to start yelling at people for using different weapons? "oh, put that oicw down, that's not what inf is supposed to be"...

i wont tell you how to play, dont tell me how to play.

That's the whole point. You don't attack enemies, you complete objectives. If enemies get in the way, you deal with them, but only a madman actively seeks out a firefight. If DTAS didn't allow blind caps, attackers would have no chance at all of capturing the objective and it would just be TDM with a marker.

Have you met me in game yet? I always bitch about the OICW.

you are THE BIGGEST noob i have ever seen. the reason i said that, noob, was because taking out one of there team before someone kills me is is better getting killed without doing a single thing. sure, if i am playing a game with an objective then i will work toward the objective but, if im getting shot at and getting killed i'd rather kill someone than just die.

I think you nailed it on the head there Keihas. Everythings gone to tiny maps and TDM Kill Em All. I don't mind the occasional kill, that makes sense. Its just that everyone seems to be RUNNING around on the tiniest close combat maps there are, spraying everywhere with subguns. If you want to do that, may I suggest the Quake III mod True Combat. As for what this game was, unfortunately, it seems to have died. Hopefully, with a new engine, this game will make a comeback some day. And if anyone hasn't noticed, I posted a link to a good Crysis video in the New Canidate for INF Engine post.

My usual night, after dinner, from Monday to Friday:

I run Infiltration.
I press the button of Server Browser.
I click in 'All Infiltration'.
I see people playing in a TDM server. And that's all.
I close the game, and play another game or whatever.

Some saturdays and sundays i can play some Dtas. I would play also EAS, but there is no lag-free server (ie. European, ping of 200 or less) at least for me.
