First of all.. who is to say that they don't tweak rate of fire or damage for the ShockRifle? Second, the SR has ALWAYS been a force to be reckoned with in ANY Unreal game (save U2, which doesn't count).

That doesn't make it right!

The main prob with the pri shock in 2k4 is that the refire rate is about the same speed as the knockback/lockdown recovery. Holding fire when someone happens to be coming towards you are moving back can be pretty hard to dodge out of, especially if there's an obstacle behind you; and it doesn't need much aim from the attacker.

Thinking about it, you probably wouldn't notice this much in ONS as opposed to one of the DM modes.
