Of course not. But be smart and wait for the sure-to-happen GOTY edition that'll come out once the DLCs are done. It'll have them with it, no doubt.

And then it all works out of the box with no more bugs? Yeah... I think I'll skip that and wait for Obisidian's FO: Las Vegas.

No problem there, especially if they attacked you because you discovered their secret. Make sure you talk to the old guy in the house so that he can take care of the kids... if you didn't kill them too.

Well they managed to screw up the release of another DLC, they have removed Broken Steel from the marketplace.

Ghoul!?

Tight.

EDIT: I also want to say that the superhuman dual at Canterbury Commons was absolutely hysterical. I went to the AntAntagonizer's lair and dropped a lady killer on her, convincing her to chill out. But the interesting thing is, when I went to the mechanics place afterwards and cleared out all the bots...when I picked the lock to his room the dude was not there. Am I missing something? Or is he supposed to just disappear?

You need to activate the coffee maker to get to his secret room, he's there.

Yes, Sergeant RL-3, forgot about him.

I met a dog who was nice and he followed me around for a while. Was cool until I lost him in a fight (was weird not knowing how to monitor his life, ect, having a way to heal him). Can you find any other companion animals?
Dogmeat heals automatically after each fight, assuming he survives, and you can target him in VATS to check his health. You can also heal him with Stimpaks.

If he got killed, weep bitterly; you could've used him to find weapons, ammo, items, chems...

However, there's a way to resurrect him, assuming you're on the PC version.

  • Open the console and type prid 0006a775, resurrect, moveto player, and finally resetquest 943ed. Then talk to him - it will be like your first meeting outside of Scrapyard.
  • Once that's done, type setessential 6a772 1 to make him unkillable - he'll only be knocked unconscious from then on.

Unless there's something terribly important that dogmeat gets for you, I don't think that not having another item source is going to hurt me at this point. Though it was cool having a buddy.

In regards to the secret room for the engineer superhero at Canterbury Commons, I found all the rooms. But he's not there. Maybe he's somewhere else?

I think if you make a deal with the ant lady, he runs away or something. I shot her in the face and he had also left. They say something to the effect of, if the lady isn't around he would probably just leave.

I dealt with the AntAgonizer first, talked her into giving up, then killed her. Went to the Mechanist, gave him the Ant suit, he gave up, and I got the Protectrons gaze. I shot the Mechanist to get back what I gave him.

In short, he should be there, in the secret room at the Robot Repair Center, with the elevator that takes you right back to the entrance of the building. You can also lockpick the elevator near the entrance to get to him.

Edit: If he's really not there, you can try to follow the quest marker to find him.
