^2 words: sandy vaginas!

I'm keeping list of my read books to prove my 10 books per skill theory. I've now 10 tumbler's today and some others at 9 books. Let's see how this will continue. I am also keeping list of hints that are being dropped left and right... and I be darned if I finally find the chinese army hideout.

I also lend a friend my fallout1 cd today. After FO3 he's become intrigued to try it out :)

Off course
Finished the game also way too soon.

In fallout 1 and 2, the final bosses were extremely hard no matter what approach you used...in F3, I literally managed to kill Autumn with a single salvo from the plasma rifle.

That's okay, though. Reading through these forums, it's clear there are still a gazillion sidequests to find and complete.
Also...despite scavenging/looting just about ANY location I could find, I never managed to find even a single bobblehead. :hmm:

I had my first one before even getting out of the vault.
On your dad's desk
On my first play (44 hours gametime, up until about 60% of the main story, level 18 character.) I found 5 of them in total.
I had to restart because of a system crash and now I have just that first one.

Well...I started the game anew as a hellraising black chick with anorexia and an appetite for sneaking, stealing and close combat. The funny thing is that James actually does resemble your character (he wasn't black the first time! And his face wasn't as thin either!).

Even before reaching megaton, I already found a merchant who pointed me to a spot I haven't discovered the first time
Canterbury Commons

So all in all, I'd say there's quite some replayability to be had. :D

I've 11 dean's electronics books. Maybe the book I got from Moira doesn't count : /
have to loot more to find out more on this subject...

Also I've got Eugene the Minigun and does anyone know who Ben Canning is?
He came to me somewhere in the Wasteland and asked, me like the beggars for distilled water and as the do gooder I am I handed some over to him. Unlike the beggars he was thankful and promised me that one day he will repay me for my kindness.

I guess nobody cares but I now have:

11 medicine boooks, 11 pugilism ilustrated, 11 dean's, 12 beefjerky vendors.
so for anyone as obsessed as me maxing everything out in 20 levels it looks like I have to reevaluate my guesstimations.

I also found a medical prototype powerarmor today...

I also found that armor yesterday along with the victory rifle, which is a unique version of the sniper rifle.

How many unique weapons have you guys found so far? This is the fifth I've found, I now have unique versions of the chinese assault rifle, laser rifle, laser pistol, plasma rifle and now the sniper rifle. I didn't include the repeater, repellent stick or mesmetron.

Listen up, you god damn puke. You are now wearing Prototype Medic Power Armor. You take care of me, and I'll take care of you.

Found your approach interesting so I looked for a a list of book locations and found one that lists around
25
Guns and Bullets locations.

I have:
--carry around--
Alien Blaster
Burnmaster
Lincoln's Repeater
Ol' Painless
Sydney's 10mm "Ultra" SMG
--stored for later (I don't find normal plasma rifles at all - I guess I need to advance the story for that)
A3-21's Plasma Rifle
--locker with one of each item I found but won't use. I call it my personal museum--
Fisto!
Plunkett's Valid Points
Protectron's Gaze
Repellent Stick
The Shocker
The Tenderizer
Zhu-Rong v418 Chinese Pistol

Certainly helps to have the game running on the other PC right next to this one. :D
I "found" the special Minigun but liked the armor better and me being Buddah-Jesus means I'm not going to let the chick die just to get both. I also had the special scoped 44 magnum in my hands ... Blackhawk or what it was called. But I had to reload and then decided to go without that reward because I prefer the repeater that uses the same ammo and me being Buddah-Jesus and all.

A3-21's Plasma Rifle

Yeah, they'll become semi-common once you progress the main quest.

I guess I should list the actual names of the weapons I've found:

A3-21's Plasma Rifle
Smuggler's End (laser pistol)
Victory Rifle (sniper rifle)
Wazer Wifle (duh)
Xuanlong Assault Rifle (chinese assault rifle)

Sydney's 10mm "Ultra" SMG
The Tenderizer
Protectron's Gaze

I guess I've technically also found these, but I haven't picked them up. I ended up with both sets of armor instead of the Protectron's Gaze and the Tenderizer I didn't even realize was a unique weapon. I guess I should go back and pick it up even though I never use melee weapons.

I also sold the Repeater to the slaves.

Heh, looks like I still have to find quite a few.

I still have all the other Lincoln stuff that you can sell to the slaves because I could not bring myself to take money for it and there's no option to just give it to them. :D

Did anyone else launch the ICBM at Fort Constantine? I have no idea what will come of that, if anything.

I'm finally done exploring the wastes and finished the main storyline yesterday. It's okay apart from the plot holes, the lack of logic and the ending. It could also use a bit more freedom. For some reason I liked the uh, follow the bot scene.

Crashes got really bad for me at some point when I explored the wastelands. Take out enemies and try to loot the bodies, fast travel, save via the menu - all of that had a really high chance to throw me back to the desktop with the message box. Luckily at some point I noticed something that reduced the number of crashes almost down to zero. I always have FRAPS running and have it display the FPS. I noticed that before a crash is going to happen the frame rate is going drop a bit (and it usually dropped after fights). When that happened quicksave/quickload made it go up to normal again and I could loot, travel or save without problems. It's annoying but better than a CTD. I have no solution for the occasional 3 minutes loading times, though. When I decided to follow the main quest again the problem didn't show up. Not sure why. There might be a relation to me using the A3-21's Plasma Rifle during the wasteland exploring but that's really speculation.

Sounds bad but all in all, it's still an awesome game.

Run it without Fraps and just don't care about the FPS. If the FPS stays above 30 you're fine. It's not like a FPS dip will be deadly like in for example Unreal Tournament.
