It's called Anime. It's very popular especially in Japan/China eastern countries.

They also have tons of anime shows and books like Dragon Balls and EVA or something.

EDIT:: If you want real girls, I just picked out a random few while skimming my collection. Some of the hottest hollywood precious'.

Hey I'm a big Anime fan so thats that, but I do love the real thing though to set thing straight.

The artwork is very good, but the guy standing behind her takes any tranquility away...ahwell, I shouldn't judge, I suck at drawing non-mutated humans. Hybrids, game characters, furries...anything apart from a normal human comes out good.

Oh and Gundam-style mecha I suck at. Well-known Battletech Mechs like the Mad Cat I can knock out in a few mins.
But I do most things with reference, unless I'm designing a new character, then (with the exception of 2, 1 based on Tails' head and the other looking rather Sally-ish) of course there's no reference.

I do plan on doing a large spider mech, in an anime style, although I'll throw a bit of BT Vulture in there, it's got good shaped rocket pods.
