Tried one more time to install, same problems. Pulled RAM and placed into the other PC. Runs OK here but of course it only is using 3GB.. Might help some..
Guess, I will hold off til the next major upgrade to the I7.

This is the ASUS P5NSLI NForce570, Intel Dual Core E6600 so its still got some life left.:lol:

Everything is rated 7 or above except Hard Drives, Need to get WD Raptor. LOL
However, I was still getting a couple BSOD's (Dumping Memory) in the couple of hours it ran. We are now back to 2GB and for the life of me I can't understand why it doesn't like More RAM. Mebbe its the Mobo P5N32E-SLI (NForce-680i). I give up..

Check the speed of the RAM versus the RAM you have. Make sure they are paired up in your system. If the BSOD happens again the leave only one chip (NEW) inside the machine and see how long it runs. I assume you have 2 more new chips to install.

Thats the same ram I had before...

Can't say I know the reasoning for the BSODs. Being that you purchased these sticks of ram so far apart they may have revised them. Is there a Rev.# on the package anywhere? I know my old intel mobo was revised like 7 times... still kept the same product #.

Did you try running only 2 gigs with just the new sticks?

My rating is 5.9 as well due to hard drives.
Processor: 7.4
RAM: 7.4
Graphics: 7.8
Gaming Graphics (whats the diff?): 7.8
Transfer Rate: 5.9

Considering the highest rating is 7.9 and I haven't overclocked at all, I'm pretty happy with that lol

Yes, the revision numbers are different. They were purchased over a year apart. I have the new Ram in and it works fine. Guess I could always get new 2GB sticks, but it runs fine on 2GB so until then Oh Well.

Here is what I was trying to say before about memory addressing. I found this in my Intel mobo guide:

When installing additional RAM:

Install all Memory in the DIMM sockets BEFORE installing a PCI Express x16 card to avoid interference with the memory retention mechanism.

So perhaps uninstalling your Video drivers etc, turning off the machine, THEN putting in your additional ram and then reinstalling video drivers might make the difference.

Check the event logs and see if it leads somewhere. I have a feeling it's hardware or a driver for hardware. So far 7 has been working on several platforms for me as long as I have the most updated driver I can find.

Different topic for a brief moment...

I installed crysis on my parents pc (my old one)... keys are set up for num0 as crouch and the arrow keys for movement. If I'm crouched (holding num0) and hit two different arrow keys (say up and left) to move diagonal, one of the keys don't register and the computer beeps at me.

For some reason I think one of you had a similar problem at some point. What was the fix?

That's the white clips that snap the ram into place. I have plenty of room for that. It runs fine with the 2GB (New or Old) ones. If its the Revision Number that would suck cause I would have just got 2-2GB sticks instead.

Here's some Log Info. Bug Check is the Memory Dump (BSOD) so what caused it? In reviewing the logs the Critical Error happened each time before the Dump.

Probably something to do with Sticky/Shortcut/Filter Key Combo's.
In Control Panel there is a place to turn them off (Accessibility Options)...:):)

Boney, how old is the keyboard? It could be a zoned keyboard which doesn't allow more than two key presses in the same zone. Try switching keyboards and see if that does anything.

If you are using 64 bit Windows 7 professional that you are using all drivers that are 64 bit and that the BIOS is rated to hold a 64 bit OS. Double check that all hardware devices are using 64 bit drivers. This also includes hard drive and DVD-ROM firmware.

Hard Drives and DVD aren't using 64bit. Everything else is 64Bit. Didn't know there was HD Drivers?? Probably BIO's isn't rated for 64bit. Motherboard is a 680i so its a wee bit old. Don't worry about it..
