so in other words something like giving the commenter following things to pick out

A. bad gameplay, bad graphics
B. average gameplay, bad graphics
...
G. good gameplay, great graphics

etc.

?

That would make it all more complicated and a mess. A score is nice and clean and you also dont have to score
the score indicates your opinion, and if you replace the score with a "looks bad, average gameplay" choice itll still be the same opinion that perhaps others didnt really like, only a little nicer said and maybe a little more detail..
I dunno, it must stay simple and clear, you cant fight abuse..

And taking away commenting at all and only letting people post a b c d e or whatever wont work. The text commenting is part of the thing.

Hey chrome ,thanks...allthough I am glad you said it looks like quake thats actualy a compliment,but the truth is ,is you must have not have played quake1 latley,this looks 1000 times better man.The cieling and 3 trims are the only Q1 textures.This maps graphics does NOT look bad at all.

It is a medium spam map,but the predictability is not a bad thing.And contrary to what you say about "just play quake",whens the last time you found a quake server?
I really don't have a reason of why I redid this particular level,I just did and yes ! i did change the physics around,not only is ut2004 to floaty it's slow slow slow.
And your bot rating is also rediculas,what more can one do with this level? all I can say is put bots on adept (or higher) and youl die die die,if you can beat them ,then your good,especialy this map spam or no spam.

EDIT Ya can't get stuck in the holes *******,only projectiles will go through the volumes blocking you from fallaing through or get stuck while crouching,I do believe I tested them all.and weapon bases SUCK just like you.

HORRIBLE!!

The weapons arent placed on the weaponpads designed for it.
The floor is slippery, but.....why??
The teleporters look like they were just picked out of someones nose.
The textures look horrible.
Holes in the floor where you just get stuck in.

Well He is an as_hole you can't fall through the dang holes in the floor,get their facts straight.Plus I think those weapon bases are the stupidest thing,they screwed up this game,only one or two more levels I started to get done,then I,m deleteing it .

And all maps will have double jump disabbled,speed increased,and no weapon bases,gravity increased,air friction lowered.

Bad place wasn't a bad map, years ago. Years ago.
"Smacks head". A good remake isn't redoing/porting the entire map the way it looked/played, it's capturing the spirit and adding necessary changes to keep it up to date.
Because TIME WON'T STAND STILL.

The point is that, how can you question my saying anything judgemental about someone's post and then you go and post something like that against someone else's post?

O.k. maybe you were being humourous about their posts but that's beside the point. It just come across as a double standard of behaviour.

I've never admitted to anything other than being an arsehole in these forums but I don't like double standards applied to anyone, including me.

As for me having a sense of humour, I've actually been soft pedalling these forums lately to spare them the full force of my arseholeness but I'm starting to feel like it's time to tirade....

In regard of the comment I posted about Kantham's photoshop post, as I told you in that thread, I actually went back and edited it before you replied to it of your own volition because I thought, IN MY OWN OPINION, that what I said was too harsh and uncalled for.

I honestly don't have the faintest idea what you mean by that "rebuttal".

I suppose now we can get into the standard replies that most people give when they haven't got an idea, a clue or any cogent or logical arguments in reply.

Here; let me start off with a few:

"You've got a bad attitude." (This one is pretty old school and has very limited usage these days).

"You have serious problems." (This is usually accompanied by the qualifying extension "dude".)

"You have serious issues." (Again the extension "dude" map apply).

"What are you smoking?"

"What drugs are you on?"

What drugs aren't you on?"

When I see these standard responses I just have to laugh. I can almost see the perpetrator squirming in front of their keyboard because they 'aint got nuthin'.

Feel free to come back with any other lame responses you may have locked away in your mental glory boxes.

Look, after some of the extremely lengthy and heated debates I've seen you have with people on this site Redfist I don't think you really should be worrying about what I write. That's just my way of stating plainly and succinctly that I will take note of what he says and respect it.

Stating it in that way is just using the language to the maximise the effect and make sure my point gets across .

If I wanted to "lighten up" I would probably just fire off quotes from Bart Simpson, or Bender the Robot; whatever........

The first time I saw that comment from Bot_40 I laughed for minutes. Every time I thought about that comment for the next couple of days I wanted to burst out laughing.

It still rates as one of my personal favourite comments on this site.
