I've tried to take him down dozens of times with different setups. None were effective. Glitch time.

Does Hyperius even have an exploitable glitch?
No, but there is an exploitable glitch that Hyperius is weak to :)

The clip size should be the only clue you need. :)

Also, the only things that have dropped were Shredifier, Sledge's Shotgun (much weaker than one I already have) and two Whiskey Tango Foxtrot shields. None of them were great drops and that was out of about 200 kills. Absolutely awful boss to loot.

dur!

I noticed myself that every now and then a weapon would deal elemental damage from a weapon I have used prior. I guess the new exploit does just that?

the wtf comes in two versions, I think my favourite has the flavour text 'all foxxed up'. Killed me more times than bandits did.

Hyperius is awful.... Here's what I've found from him after killing him hundreds of times.

5 Whiskey Tango Foxtrot shields (no prefixes)
1 Norfleet
2 Sledge's Shotgun
3 Shredifier (with various prefixes)
1 Kiss of Death (yeah a blue mission reward wtf)
2 Actualizers (with various prefixes)

Everything else he has dropped has been garbage. I have picked up several pink items, though, thanks to the crystals.

I once got a Seraph shotgun off of him. WTF was my response too. I didn't think that was even possible.

Pyro Pete and the Warrior are the best raid bosses so far. Although I have noticed that the Warrior drops less loot since the last patch.

I hate the raid bosses. Who comes up with this shit? I have yet to play the third DLC but I bet there's one in there that is completely invulnerable except for meteors that hit his head and which's ballistic path you have to influence by shooting at them in order for them to do the head hitting. The fight would take 10 hours and can only be won by 4 sirens that Res each other constantly after his 10 million damage novas strike you every couple of seonds everywhere unless you hide behind a specific invisible blade of grass that warps around the map constantly and has only space for one player. And he might drop a blue item if you use up enough luck to win $500M in the lottery.

I'd just like to know whose idea it was to give some of the raid bosses arena-wide attacks with little to no chance to avoid it

^this  it's the only thing that downs me. I think the outsourced raid bosses(i.e. Hyperius and Gee) are the worst of the bunch. Have only killed voracious once to really rate him.

edit: don't even get me started on Teras' off the cliff bitch slapping...

Really, the bosses are only bearable through glitching. None of the bosses, including Crawmerax, were as impossible as the raid bosses in BL2 are (although Skagzilla at level 62 lulz).

I liked Craw. He was a challenge without simply having "OMFG ALL THE HEALTH" and "bitchslap from anywhere"

Oh yea, opted to read up on the raid bosses I haven't faced yet on the BL2 wikia, and in the strat for Voracidous it suggests using the Trespasser rifle on Ngwatu to take him out before he can pass his shield onto Vorac
Also spotted this under Dex: Dexiduous is immune to non-elemental and lightning damage, and takes reduced damage from all elemental sources. :|

You don't even need the fan boat to beat Dexi, just get him to walk up to the lodge and then go under it. His ai freaks out and he's gets stuck trying to walk through it. :D
