oh wow, thanks for pointing that out Brizz.
I'm not sure how I missed it but I completely passed it over. and it's many pages back, I wonder how that happened. had I seen it I would have replied because it's pretty god damn outrageous...
he quoted me when I said something about how easy it was to vote in the 2008 election once McCain chose Sarah Palin as his running mate. and his response was this:
Really? instead of them, you'd rather vote for a marxist/socialist-leaning, Saul Alinsky-disciple, neighborhood organizer/professional agitator, who's only jobs have been Senior Lecturer at Harvard for 12 yrs, and US Senator for 2
if this is Hermskii's good buddy and this is the
best he can come up with then it really says a lot about him, Hermskii, and the place they live.
because that's fucking asinine. the above post is littered with willful ignorance and putrid, old, regurgitated GOP attack-points that are so far outside reality they would be funny if they weren't downright sad.
Obama is not a Marxist.
Obama is not a Socialist.
he doesn't even "lean" that way. not even close.
his actual, implemented policies are clearly more Centrist Democratic than anything. most of his own supporters don't believe he has been Liberal enough.
even the true Socialists do not consider Obama a Socialist. there's not a single American Socialist party that supports Obama. not the SPUSA, not the ASP, not the DSA, not the SPA, not any of them.
the fact that - 4 years later - you would still attempt to call Obama a Marxist/Socialist simply reveals your profound stupidity; either by choice or because (most likely) it runs in the family. it is utterly absurd and anyone who knows even the most rudimentary dick-squat about politics and competing economic systems recognizes this.
Obama is not a Saul Alinsky "disciple" either.
what does that even mean? Alinsky has no disciples. he was nobody's prophet or savior. he was a brilliant man who empowered poor people and the lower working class in order that they might have more/fair representation in our nations politics than they had before he came along.
William F. Buckley (Republican Conservative) has said that Alinsky was "very close to being an organizational genius."
Adam Brandon (Tea Party Conservative) said that "his tactics, when it comes to grass-roots organizing, are incredibly effective."
Dick Armey (former House Republican Majority Leader) gives copies of Alinsky's book
Rules for Radicals to Tea Party leaders.
Saul Alinsky was a recipient of the Pacem in Terris Award.
who else is has earned this award?
John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr, Sargent Shriver, Dorothy Day, George Kennan, Jim Wallis, and César Chávez... among others.
oh but that must be some kind of Evil Socialist award right?
nah, it's a Catholic-based peace award that has been presented to at least as many Conservatives as Liberals for "their achievements in peace and justice, not only in their country but in the world."
hmm, sounds like Jesus Christ would be proud... if he existed... and if the people who claim to follow him would do so with actions more than just words.
Oh, and don't forget Bozo the Clown for his VP choice.
so you have no problem listing all of Senator McCain's achievements in life while ignoring his follies.
but when you mention Joe Biden (whose name you seem to have misspelled...) you skip right over everything he has accomplished in turn.
Senator Biden has substantial foreign policy experience (more than McCain/Palin combined) dating at least as far back as the Egypt–Israel Peace Treaty of 79'. he was one of the senior ranking members of both the Judiciary and Foreign Relations Committees. he has been incredibly successful as a representative for Delaware; testament to the number of times he has been re-elected consecutively.
also, he never turned his back on his constituents by QUITTING HIS JOB
IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS JOB like your precious Sarah Cunt Palin stepping down as Governor before her term was even finished.
complete WRECK of the economy and the law Obama has made
so Obama "completely wrecked" the economy
and US law?
care to explain?
maybe Herm will try to field that one for you
Listening to all of the religion hating, conservative hating discussions here I was wondering what your views were about free speech and when it needs to be silenced. I'm assuming you think there is a time for that. I'm betting the liberals here have never had their responses blocked or deleted here. Do you know of people trying to post who can't? I hope this response gets past the censors to you folks.
...then again, it's clear that you 2 are equally misinformed.
no wonder you're friends.
A. I am all for free speech. I can't think of a situation in which I would want to "silence" freedom of speech or the press. as such, your assumption (like most of your rhetoric concerning Liberals) is horribly out of touch with reality.
B. there are no censors on this forum except for sexual and/or graphic violent content. no one has tried to block you or your friend from posting. "Liberal" posters do not have any more freedom than Conservative posters. you obviously haven't been on this forum long enough to notice that there are plenty of vocal Right-wing types.
it's actually pretty balanced in that regard.
and hey, next time you see your friend, remind him what moron he is and how bad he made you look by spouting that baseless nonsense.
thanks.
