So what's the point of this ripoff game anyway? "A trek through an alternate reality consisting of the works of others..."

God they couldn't even be bothered to change the lighting... All they did was ruin the map above by sticking a dumb circle on the floor.

What the hell is this "ballin" thing?
lol, AFAIK this is unprecedented! Ripping off one game is one thing and it has been tried many times before. But stealing from as many sources as this!
One expensive lawsuit alone can break a company, just think how many this game is going to produce! That developer wont have the funds to proceed with them all.

This is definitely a revolution in the world of gaming!!! Is it a first person shooter? No, that's what it seems! It actually is the first game ever that you have to find the solution by searching out of the game itself... Once you have found which other game every asset comes from the game is completed and it can rest on your shelf forever... What a brilliant idea! :p

That is blatantly a shop from Thief 3 - it even has the practice lock on the shelf. I'm impressed they even went to the trouble of swapping the 3rd and 4th shelves though, must have taken quite some time and effort

Wow this is like waiting for lottery numbers. Who else is going to win some money?

 I'm crossing my fingers for you, that they stole something of yours too... (higher chances of that being the case than winning the lotery ;))

OK, ripping whole levels is a bit lame, but a game that's almost 100% pure rip is, in a way, a classic in its own right. The sheer mind-boggling audacity of it all surely deserves a prize, not a lawsuit.

this is a clear case of plagiarism
and it looks like the publisher got screwed over by that 3 person gamedev studio called "Majestic Studios" (not to be confused with the publisher Majesco) seeing as they are "on vacation".

It would've been better if people just close their eyes for some time and give the game devs a chance to "earn" cash. This way they would have more money to pay for the lawsuits. :) Oh well...guess it's too late now.

That certainly looks A LOT like DM-Aristocracy, i wonder if they just stole the idea, or if they actually ripped the assets..
...Idea?

There are two CLEARLY-Copypasta'd scenes from DM-Aristocracy in LotL (a pun on LotR?). The only actual difference? photoshop pattern layer snow.

I saw many assets from other games also. Some unmistakably not stock work.

In this pic I see some sconces and lights from UT2k4 (abbandon packages if I remember right)
http://uk.pc.ign.com/dor/objects/69...ages/limbo-of-the-lost-20080530111313859.html

I noticed in the trailer some of the map assets from dungeon siege 2 don't think that game was mentioned.

Also every one of those ss features some of the top and bottom border from this: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/downloads/wallpapers/wallpaper45.html and many other wow wallpapers.

Now mind you I like a good remake. but there are a few things about remakes that I believe are required.

#1 giving credit were credit is due
#2 taking no prfit from the work without written permission
#3 Actualy remaking it the content in question so it has your own twist and you learn something in the process.

I personsally believe they shouldn't be used in commercial ventures at all except in the case of sequals perhaps and maybe as homage to some great work but the context of how and why they were used needs to be clear.

That said, this fails on all accounts exspecially in the remake catagory as it looks to me to be just a ripoff of others works with perhaps the exception of the haneous charecter models.

Those Texans need a good ole Texas Longhorn rear to steer treatment. (for those who aren't familiar with what those look like I am saying they need fitted like a glove bottom first over the horns of these http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_longhorn_(cattle) )

Of course we all conveniently 'forget' when Id-software and Epic were accused of ripping of assets when in reality they had merely used the same texture-source.
What if someone did the same with bigger assets like tables, rooms, etc ?
Innocent until proven guilty I say.
A mere picture is not proof that one stole from the other.
What if Bethseda & co stole from that game ?
Who has the real original ? Where is the proof for that ?

Are you somehow related to the devs? There could not be any other explaination of what you just wrote with all the evidence around.

How do you go about porting the contents of a map from one game engine to another like this ?
