WoW Is a MMO with Racial-specific quests. On first launch I'm pretty damn sure it had something like < 900.

Yeah and a ton of people including me got bored and quit before playing even a dozen of them. Besides... Borderlands is definitely not competing against something like WoW. It is not even an MMO.
