You argument is amazingly feeble:

- 'Tax this country like crazy' -- How much will she tax? And what will the taxes be used for?

- 'put people who can't afford private services into government programs' -- Which government programs?

- 'the economy collapsing because of ridiculous taxes' -- There are *many* countries which *much* higher taxes than the US, and their economy's running just as good or even better than the U.S.

- 'She plans on taking away our military' -- Oh no! We can't invade and **** up foreign countries anymore!

- 'tons of other rights we have.' -- Such as?

Hillary isn't a communist -- That's just something anti-Hillary people shout in order to scare people

The higher taxes you pay; the bigger the government is; the more control the government has; the less control the people have; everyone is poor and the government lets you keep you a small portion of the money you earn.
No:
The higher the taxes, the more control the goverment has over the economy, the better the money is spent.

Now we could get all economical and try to use different models to prove our point, but that won't do. Economists don't agree with each other either. But there is a very interesting correlation between happiness and the amount of taxes you pay: the more you pay, the happier the average citizen in a country is. And it makes sense: compare some European countries to African countries - in which do the people have more freedom? In which do the people have more chances to get a decent life?
The model you are supporting is one of the reasons why the US is a third world country. Now I bet it sounds really good when someone is saying how well it works with the American flag behind him... but that just isn't how the world works, it's not how people work.

Here is how Clinton is a communist:
She will tax the country like crazy, thus creating the big, powerful government and the weak, powerless people that I mentioned before.
I could be wrong, but I don't think the president has control over taxes. Now I can't remember and I don't have the time to check it now, but if thats true then every deductive step you tried to create from there is wrong.

She will automatically put people who can't afford private services into government programs, which, because of the economy collapsing because of ridiculous taxes, everyone will be poor and be in these programs.
Higher taxes give a more stable economy. Plus government programs can work, I know of at least a few in Holland that really helped some of the poorest people here.

She plans on taking away our military and our freedom to have guns (no ability to take our country back) as well as tons of other rights we have.
I know enough about America to know that this is the only real reason you have.

The government could take away most of the rights you have and you wouldn't care, wouldn't do anything - as long as you had the illusion of control... I can't remember any president taking away as many rights as Bush did, but I bet you love the guy.

So, where do you two live? Have you ever been to America? If so, how long? Where do you get your "knowledge" about America?

You both are ignorant.

Ive been in the US and its a nice but kinda out of control consumerist society.

Not that the netherlands is much better if at all....

Imho high taxes work. As long as the system isnt overly corrupt and has good programmes. Sure the goverment should never be able to controll the entire economy but that is impossible to begin with.

Cumalitively, I've been in the US for a bit more than half a year.

Oh and obviously calling me ignorant is the bestest good argument evers, yup. Especially coming from you.

edit:
I get my knowledge from my time in the US, from my time reading about the US, from my time reading about the world, from my time reading about politics, from my time watching the news, from my time studying people (shockingly, US citizens are people too) etc etc.
To make a long story short, what I know from the US comes from years of reading, watching, listening, experiencing and thinking. Not an unimportant factor is that I'm an outsider. I remember from my time there that I was quite amazed at how strong the group-feeling was, and when I was accepted as such I tended to behave accordingly. It wasn't until I was back in Holland that I could reflect on my behaviour there.

Pretty much, I'm saying that you as an American couldn't form an opinion on Americans. If you want to know why, time to read about cognitive dissonance (which is an important factor in just about all opinions).
On top of that, you've shown to be irrational, gullible and headstrong. As much as it amuses me to write all of this, I know it won't matter for you. It's like every time a sensible person thinks before responding, you simply respond. Like a reflex (or perhaps even some advanced type of conditioned response). I bet you'd make great studying material for the animal world.

It's not an argument. You're ignorant and it shows more with every post you make. I know you're going to say or at least think that I'm not one to talk, but you're also predictable.

You also need to quit saying that I don't think, I just respond, because the only reason you say this is because I disagree with you. I disagree with you, of course, because you're wrong. My responses aren't planned and outlined because, frankly, I have a life. You claim to be a sensible person, but you seemingly don't realize that you are arguing on a forum that is slightly above dead. None of us are sensible or we probably wouldn't be posting here (considering that this place might as well be an off-topic forum). At least I can say I'm slightly sensible for understanding that. Why don't you stop and think about that for a while before you respond.

I guess for some people it's easier to pick all the right smileys instead of all the right words. But as always, atleast you're amusing me.

She plans on taking away our military and our freedom to have guns (no ability to take our country back) as well as tons of other rights we have.

If our country does indeed become bad enough that a violent revolt is the only option, the legality of firearms will cease to matter, because we will be attacking the government anyway. Besides, it's damn near impossible to simply swoop down and take all the guns that are owned in the US, as it would take way more resources than the Government would have available, even if Evil Communist Baby-Eating Hillary were to tax us all into poverty.

Yeah, so how about Opposing Fronts? Who likes Opposing Fronts? I know i do. Sadly i can't play online, but since i haven't mapped for INF since my last HD format, i've turned my attentions to modding for CoH.

Anyone who's interested in CoH or OF should go over to theRelicNews CoH Forums, their certainly not dead over there, there's plenty of mods that focus on gameplay or realism changes as well as tons of skin and texture packs and hundreds of maps. Hell there's even many players who like to debate historical events and their implementation or accuracy in the game, even if the uber-thread-terminator moderators don't like it.

The only problem is the (dare i say) Nazi-like moderators who ban people for a few rants or disagreeing with a moderator, or lock threads for simply being in the wrong section instead of moving them... but other than that it's all hunky dory and the moderators seldom lurk in the modding section, pratically free reign there! :hurrah:
