Who use UT Buddy ?

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I get no lag from UTBuddy at all. Just from Verizon.

Monk: Is there a way to put the time someone last played (like 1 hour, 15 minutes ago) in the in-game UTBuddy? I just added myself and look at my time and compare it to everyone else's, which works great though. Any more updates planned?

Good Questions::

Good to hear that there is only a limited number of ppl having a lag issue. I will probably isolate the issues to server location & performance. Although, after reviewing the UTbuddy code, I do see MUCH room for improvement. I am also toying with the idea of making UTbuddy open-source...but we'll see.

Other Stuff::

In-Game UTbuddy::: Yeah, I am going to see just how much I can add to the in-game UTbuddy browser. Unfortunaty, the browser is not a full functional web browser and has it's limits. However, I plan to push those limits as best I can.

Updates::: Not quite sure what the next major update to UTbuddy will be. Some folks say Chat.. others say integrated server browser.. others want to import/export buddy lists and have buddy "groups" *shurg* not sure where to go next. There will be some optimized routines and tweaking of the internals... I hope to have some bell-&-whistle ideas by then. (Ideas are welcome :: UTbuddy@hotmail.com

WebSite Updates::: Make sure that everyone hits the UTbuddy website for updates.. I plan to put a poll and wish list up as well as publish my .plan for other projects, etc.

::Much thanks for everyones input, feedback, encouragement, ideas, hate mail, letter bombs, etc, etc.. ::

UT Buddy install problems.

Help! I downloaded and installed UTBuddy. When I try to run the client, I get this error:

Run-time error '339'
Component 'shdocvw.dll' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

What does this mean, and does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It makes me sick that I cant use UTBuddy!

It will say new user until that person has been playing UT for the first time with UT Buddy running.
