Its a three way tie between Deus Ex, for its great story, Freespace 2, for its great story and graphics, and the original QuakeWorld Team Fortress, the only game ever made that had perfectly balanced gameplay.

Hey, Sniper187, would you beleive that I managed to beat Resident Evil without using a *single* ink ribbon? I kinda had to since I didn't have any memory cards at the time....heheh.

Holy crap, that's harder than hell to do! I actually attempted to do it once, but when I got the the part where you fight that huge plant thing, I had my little sister come tearing through the room and pull the power cord from the wall. *sigh*
Anyway, the first time I played that game, I nearly wet myself when those dogs jumped through the windows
Another great game for PlayStation that is scarier than crap (besides the other RE's) is Silent Hill. Bad.Mojo introduced me to this game, and I owe him many thanks for doing so. If you haven't played it before, go do so

hey nikoomba, that guy w/ 2 M16s is Jaws. he was a hard Martha focker. oh, and I thought that the facility cheat was EASY! it was one of the first cheats I got other that the usual agent and S agent cheats. now the hardest cheat to get in that game was definetly the one where you have to protect natalia while shes hacking. now that was HARD.

heck yeah, Natalya was always like "try to keep it quiet, I'm typing" and there were all these bad guys shooting her, lol. The control room was definately the hardest level in the game because of it.
Ima have to go to my old skool 486, 4 megs ram, 2x cd-rom days of the 7th Guest. Man I love that game.

Number 1 game of all time: Metal Gear Solid.
Number 2 is Half-Life.
MGS rocked, and when I played it for the first time, it was like a movie, but even better.
I'm looking forward to MGS2 will will probably better Metal gear Solid.

Doom started it all. I played that game for many hours. Who knows how many. And then one day I read that you could network Doom and play multiplayer. WHOA.
I hooked up a null modem cable between my friend's computer and mine, got multiplayer going and man... it was bliss. This was back when we didn't even have sound cards. I still remember the old PC speaker Doom sounds... And many more hours of Doom began...

Infiltration has owned my PC for about the past year. Nothing else gets played on this machine.

... Marathon and Marathon 2 : Durandal are certanly on top off all!
Wow... so many hours "wasted" on those two games... sad thing I dont have Infinity, that OpenGL engine certanly looks cool. It would be fun to try it out.
Though those two are first, UT (and all it mods and possibilities) is comming quite close... But I think that I really like UT more for the technology and the engine construction than the game itself. (With INF its certanly cooler )
oh and how can I forget the numerous hours past on Hellcats over the pacific and the quite famous (on my computer...) Burning Monkey Solitaire

Flashback, that was one of my favorite games too. Although the ending was damned depressing. After all, you never did find Sonya or Ian again. God, it makes me want to slit my wrists just thinking about it.
Yeah, Flashback had a sad ending, but despite being emotional, it was one of those few games that had a GOOD ending.

Oh yeah. Those guys. Pretty hard when you have to fight 2 of them at once, but the real challenge comes from the shapeshifting aliens.
