"a dead game" is your opinionSir_Brizz said:your pot is a perfect example of the problem with sticking with a dead game. You are EXTREMELY unreceptive to change (sound like any other game? *cough*CS*cough*). I think it's funny that, in the XMP beta forums, everyone is saying how great this is and hailing the Free Monkey team as awesome gods of modding glory and how they would be happy to beta test the game for them and everything...then you come here and the only people complaining about the mod are the people that are still playing XMP with ALL it's faults and with players leaving at least weekly. Worf isn't trying to force anyone to like UTXMP. I think he is just saying "SHUT UP AND GO PLAY OR SOMETHING ELSE, WE DON'T WANT TO HEAR YOU WHINING!"
So turrets jumping off of vehicles and bases is intentional? A string of 2-minute matches in a row is an integral part of the genius of their design?takwu said:To me (and a lot of people) it's not a dead game, and it's got no fault in the design.

And you forget that some people have the performance issues in UT2004 and not in XMP. XMP is always fluid and perfect for me while UT2004 studders every 5 seconds.
We'll see what this patch does in a week.

The problem is that I DO LIKE THE GAME. The problem is that there are two reasons I don't play. It's buggy as crap and the tiny sommunity still playing it encompasses a number of idiots and jerks.takwu said:"a dead game" is your opinion
"all it's faults" is also your opinion
To me (and a lot of people) it's not a dead game, and it's got no fault in the design. I respect your opinion on the game, you don't like it, don't play it. I'm simply pointing out that my opinion is it doesn't need any change. If the Free Monkey team intend to keep all existing players and introduce more to UTXMP that would not play U2XMP for *other* reasons, like support and technical problems, then I suggest not changing any of the design. If they intend to make a game with a different design, then I suggest a different name for the game. Heck, even calling it XMP2 would be alright if it's a different design.
I expressed my interests in the project, and explained my reasons for what I desire from it. Was that not ok?

I play this game because I find it fun, I do not look at the details because thats not what I do when I play the game. I look at the way to snipe someone on the move when it lags, not the fact that it lags and its caused by something on the server or the game itself. I cope with the game because I play it, I don't critique it like you ppl seem to do everytime you played it. Thanks.
