It runs on 2k4 so yes You need ut2k4 to play utxmp

Well said. This time around we will have someone to report bug and exploits too, and have them fixed. For me this one of the big reasons that I'm looking forward to UTXMP.

If anyone does find a bug, just report it to FMI so it can be fixed as in the next release.

You can download 2k4 anywhere, but you need unique unbanned keys to play. I had about 7 or 8 boxed copies of ut2k4 from friends and lanpartys that were selling them dirt cheap ($5 !!) cuz they hated the game. Well, that was about a week ago. Turns out there are a lot of "hack" clans in 2k4 that are always getting banned, and one clan bought all my copies for $60 so they could get some players unbanned. Nice deal, and now I own a real copy of HL2. So hasta la vista suckas. Hope shelling $30 is worth the beta.

You know what sucks ... I have finals the week UTXMP comes out, then it's Christmas break and I'll be going to Hawaii and Mexico for almost a month. OK, I guess that doesn't suck but it does mean that I won't get to play much XMP for a while. Keep it warm.
