Did you mean "posted by Klasnic? (go figure...)" or did you actually mean "hosted by Klasnic?" because that may be lending itself to some of this confusion...

And by "most of the time", no doubt it means "most of the time". In other words, there are very few people in this world that know exactly what they're doing all of the time. Everyone makes mistakes and experiments to improve, even the masters.

I hope that clears some of this up because this is getting long, and you should be asking for help in your own thread. Let's leave this to the Ridley model, shall we?

I haven't updated in a while, but all I've really done is a little poly reducing and I'm half way through the skinning (skinning to the skeleton, not texturing the model). I haven't really been working on it much recently...

P.S: Holy cow, stop spamming up the thread Ice Dragoon! You do know how to make your own, right?

Oh sheesh I've not ckecked this in a while.

I think we need to re educate mr. Ice Dragoon in internet forum behaviour.

Stop that attitude and behave.
No hijackling and damn, use your ability of common knowledge and use a search machine. www.google.com.

Back to topic.

Umm...

Well this is awkward.

I've finished and everything looks ok in Maya, so I exported Ridley into the editor, and for some reason the skeleton imports tilted, while the model is left normal.

This messes up the animations, especially on the left hand because it rotates off the arm and looks horrible.

What on earth is going on?

Is that a default Skeleton?

Whats probably happened is that somehow you have altered the orientation of the default skeleton (if it is one) and that messes up the animation coordinates as its trying to move a joint from one place to the next and back again.

My recommendation is either try deleting the skeleton in maya and reimporting it, or if you want you can just send it to me and I can have a look.

Supposedly it's default (earlier in the thread I said I got it from here).

I'll send the scene file to you, just in case you can fix it without unskinning the model. ;)

EDIT: When you said send, you meant email, right? Because you can't attach things to PMs.
