I don't want to say posting videos is a bad idea, but fighting massive hoards of bots doesn't do justice to those 1v1 maps... Why not some videos from the multiplayer Fridays instead? :)

I only discovered Fraps recently. Last Friday, let's not talk about that. Next Friday, sure thing. Be there and you will probably make it to YouTube.

Bot skill is set to Masterful in those vids. Basically this is a test of equipment and performance. Godlike bots are tougher, but nothing beats playing human opponents.

One thing i've always disliked about UT players is how many awesome maps are out there (as shown in this thread), & how few of those awesome maps people are actually willing to play.

It's quite annoying that people aren't willing to learn/try new maps; nice to see something different than the norm here.

The gamespy thing sucked, especially when it happened a few times and kicked everyone off the server. It stopped later on though, hopefully it won't happen next week.

Making the game run through Gamespy = Fail.

This isn't unique to UT3. I think it's common in most online games. To support custom maps and mods you really need to have a large player base. When a game is barely on life support as far as player counts goes, it's only the standard game mods and maps that end up getting played. It's like that in my favorite 4xRTS game, Sins of a Solar Empire, too. Consequently, one of the reasons why I prefer UT 2004 Onslaught over UT3's Warfare is the huge variety of custom maps that actually get played on servers filled with 32 people.
