Sometimes, when I get this way, since im one of the 75-80% of vection sickness sufferers, I find if I masturbate profusely, it helps tremendously.

I haven't rejected anything, if it doesn't work it doesn't work... Neither have I said 'Make Inf more like RO' that assumption is all yours...

All I have done is asked if there was any possibility of a future option, as 2.9 is finished...

It's strange. I don't even notice the view bob anymore. I can't imagine getting sick over it.... hope you find a solution to your problem

Well I tried Rav3, and if I installed it correctly (Unreal Tournament/System) it does offer an improvement walking, but I still can't run and play -- way too pukey; and it's just not practical to play Inf always walking... :( Rav3 effects on weapons is fantastic though and feels intuitively "right" and highly realistic! This is something I really look forward to one day when there is a game I can play that offers it! Do you think there's a snowballs chance in hell ya might make something like this for Red Orchestra Yurch? I'd do back flips if you did! :)

I pretty sure reason the view vection in Inf effects me so severely is not just 'off the charts' with regard to my proclivity to sim sickness; it's not at all realistic... Inf's vection has an enormous amount of simple sine bob that is not in sync with weapon sway; to appear to rise and fall this much IRL, you'd have to have your eyes sewen in their sockets and run/jog in 1/3 gravity... :hmm:

The real kicker though (for my stomach) is that Inf also adds lateral sway/roll; most people don't sway or roll laterally when walking and virtually no one sways or rolls laterally when running -- especially encumbered with 40+ lbs of gear and ammo... Stand behind someone running and fix a land mark relative to their head to see this for yourself; they may (depending on their individual kinesics) bob up and down, or even piston up and down dramatically, but the faster people move and the more they're encumbered the less prone even people with unusual gaits are to lateral movement...

It makes me wonder if sway/roll in Inf were nulled, if I could take the floating bobbing movement... I also wonder how many others got shut down by Inf's view vection, or maybe not made outright sick, just disoriented and uncomfortable... Oh, well, thank gawd for Red Orchestra maybe better luck next version, or new Inf? Or should I not get my hopes up as this is somethign the Inf Devs and Fans really like a lot?

:hmm:

I have to agree here. INF does a fairly good job at nearly every aspect of the game except this one. IRL it doesn't matter how hard you are breathing your head will NOT be moving like you are standing on a boat.

Running motion is fine it's the world swimming around while standing still that I have a problem with. IRL view bob is not as extreme as in INF. While running there is really very little side to side motion and the up and down motion isn't all that great.

It helps gameplay somewhat though. If there was no bob whatsoever, then detecting ANY kind of movement would be way too easy. With the current bob in INF, it is a little harder to detect people moving up you which I like.

The levels in INF are so clean already, we need every advantage we can get to not be detected.
