UT/UT2004/UT3 new server stuff ?

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

UT/UT2004/UT3 new online play settings ?

OK guys, probably will fire up and review some maps soon, so what's the deal with the new settings for online play for these 3 games. I tried UT3 earlier this week for other reasons and I had to hit the offline play thing to get it to work. What do we need to add to these games in the ini files or whatever to get them to work online again. Thank you.

Gamespy, who sold online middleware and hosted a lot of official game servers for both console and PC games, shut down earlier this year. A lot of older games were affected, and probably the highest profile shutdown was Nintendo's online service for the original Wii and DS (Wii U and 3DS use something different, so no issues there.) Some recent games transitioned to Steam, such as the original Borderlands. UT99 and UT2004 don't need anything; Gamespy didn't host their master servers. UT3 requires a patch, if you're using the Steam version it should be automatic. If not, download it here:
