Another reason Epic has been and will be my favorite game company. Quality free stuff.

Most companies would call this a mission pack and charge money for it.

Two thumbs up.

I guess we'll all have to wait for a Linux/Mac package. This also means we can't update our Ketnar server until then (it's a Linux server).

NOOOOOOO...

well they will prob release the linux version in a few days anyway :)

this looks fun and also adds so much more stuff to play with when making maps :)

the Cicada ROCKS!!!! Once you get used to the awkward way it handles, its alotta fun. you can pinpoint a location, charge up a volley of rockets, fly behind a building and it will actually shoot the rockets AROUND the building and hit the target. Its also got a sweet laser turret and anti avril flare. Good stuff. The Island map is great too, feels very serene.

Gotta love Windows XP. I race here to download the ECE to my desktop. Right as it hits 100% it pops a transfering window up while I'm typing a message in an IM. I was hitting space bar and bam! download is gone and because IE was closed at the time, I had to redownload. I hate you M$.

Anyway, good stuff. :D I want to play ONS again.

Over there
The exe is a self extracting zip file, so a standard unzip program on linux should be able to extract it. You would just have to be careful not to overwrite any files in the system folder.
-edit- and add it to serverpackages.

Well I'll be damned, who knew exe=zip! just like Microshizzle to make a zip file and an executable have the exact same frickin extension, no wonder their software sucks, they don't know what the hell is what!

Anyhoo, OSX can handle it. Nuf said, I am going to frag!

Of course, we know that. I'm not complaining, but you're not going to be able to use it anyway on a Linux server, unless you've figured out a way to deal with the .dll files...

hey QApete
i think the dlls are the same as those from the latest patch so you should be fine, so just make surethe have the lastest linux patch on the server, and it should work

My favorite map in here is islandhop, followed closely by hourence's. no actually, other way around. islandhop would be first, if it had more terrain height differences....but there is nothing more fun than hopping in the mobile artillery thing and using the camera alt fire to rain hell on the nodes :)

urban maps never appealed to me much, but this one is certainly better than most, and as for tricky...well....I can't believe epic actually included that :/

But I am very appreaciative of this pack, <3 to epic :)

Well, here's what we've all been waiting for. If you own a copy of Unreal Tournament 2004, you can now download the content included on the just released UT2004: Editor's Choice Edition. That content includes new vehicles, characters and Onslaught maps. Some mirrors below will take a little longer to come online.

Download UT2004: Editor's Choice Bonus Pack (84.4 MB) from BeyondUnreal FileWorks

Some of the new vehicles are lame. Whats up with the one man tank that shoots low power plasma balls and has a ugly shield?
