Maybe the problem isn't expensive PC's, maybe it's poverty. Or maybe good graphics are overrated.
Have you really been paying attention to the US economy young man ... yep there are lots of poor folks these days and things are not getting better anytime soon. Anyway that is another discussion for another thread but yeah things are not great for most average folks these days. Maybe some of these younger people don't really know this because they live at home and may not drive and have to pay bills but wow it is definitely more challenging to keep things together financially these days.
And this is why cheap PCs and consoles are selling well as opposed to more gaming ready PC rigs (even ones that $800-$1000) and all the things needed to go with it. At some point the fact that only a small percentage of computer owners can afford to get a really decent rig capable of playing all games on the market at a decent resolution with some of the more advanced options turned on at the very least is going to catch up with all these PC gaming technology companies. Unless things turn around expect the advanced PC gaming segment consider to continue to take hits as fewer and fewer people are able to afford higher end gaming rigs and/or accessories/components for them.
