even after it got destroyed?
Destroyed? I have never seen a smoke nade get "destroyed." The smoke coming from the person's head looks like a normail smoke nade from other people's view. But in 1st person, the smoke nade looks like it is 50m away.

I tested it with a few clanmates and it was fun to fool around with it and leave a big trail of smoke behind you... :D

It's great to lay a temporary cover across a large area. You sprint across with it stuck to your head, and then you have a large area covered with it. It's definately something that can be exploited.

As far as the destroying bit, the person who's head has been hit by smoke, that nade disappears, yes. But, to everyone else on the server, it is replicated as being only on the head of the person who had it stuck to them. The pattern of how it works is fairly easy to see; for the player, when they move, the smoke moves twice as much as they do. For everyone else, it only moves just as much as the player does. This really is an issue that should be looked at, imho, more carefully.

But that is only how you see it, the smoke nade flying away. For other people around the smoke lies on your head and stays there.
This sounds exactly like the improperly carried 'decos' (books, boxes, ect) online in 2.86.

The client 'attached' to the object is the only one effected by the visual inconsistancy.

It's UTs 'base' code. If something is based on another object then this can happen. Depends on the different replication settings these objects most times have (ie a player and a deco).

Well the smoke is not that thick that someone running around with it can leave a real cloud of cover. It can help to spread the smoke a bit faster in a smaller area but I would not follow a smoking player cause the origin of the smoke should be easily spottable and so easy to aim and fire at.

Anyway, if someone really exploits it then simply tell him to stop, or if an enemy, send a 40mm into the center of the smokes origin. And in leagues... simply setup a rule to not use this 'trick'.

why don't they just make the grenade bounce 3 units in a randome direction, once it hits a flat horizontal surface? That way if u throw it straigt up, it 'll boune off u'r head. If u throw it at a wall or something, it's still a good idea of where it will go, it'll just bounce a bit.

Thats a genius solution! Unless of course you happen to be standing in a small narrow "ventalation duct" lets say, and the smoke has nowhere to bounce to so it stays on you. I think it should just pass through people.
