Well that is a pretty backwards/bat shit looney analogy there. Sony is just going back to something like the more traditional non-nazi you bought it you own it method. Were MS is going full Nazi derp. Which given MS's history it shouldn't be a shock that they would try and arse rape every1's wallets.

Basically these changes of which you speak have been in the works for a long time. MS with the XBone basically said "TOO SLOW!" and are jumping ahead. Sony has went back to a more conservative old school stance of you bought it is yours to do as you want with.

Yeah, but Sony vs MS? I don't find it all shocking that MS is a bigger bag of dicks.

Really though it boils down to money, Sony has figured out that devaluing their games by adding increasingly more stringent anti-piracy and profit gouging measures only serves to alienate their paying customer base and is costly to develop, while in truth doing nothing to subvert pirating itself.

I guess it is about the perspective. Sony goes backward and makes a step forward with this. They are appropriately reacting to the criticism of the gaming communities and at least by own words show that they at least are aware of the problems.
Microsoft on the other hand are like those hardliners who still want to make a hole in a wall by banging their stubborn heads against it long enough, by pushing their anti-consumer attitude. I hope the consumer will pay them back (which I do not count on).

As a PC elitist, I am interested in the PS4, but Xbox is not an option.
