That's not how you build swimming pools... A newly built swimming pool (was supposed to open this August) fell through under the weight of the water.

Saw something similar in an old library. Many plants were put on show in the hall and, apparently, the slab or floor that was supporting the weight simply collapsed.

Except that the plants were unexpected additions there. I'd question the architect's state of mind if he didn't expect water to be filled into the pool.
