I find i am just as capable with the FAL as with the M4
Well maybe that's how you experience it, but you really aren't. Well of course you'll win an engagement when you first spot a guy that is looking the other way. And although there are plenty of situations in which you'd be more effective with M4 than FAL, there is no situation at all in which you'd be more effective with the FAL than M4.

Still, can't remember the last time I used the M4 on a DTAS server (or whatever server for that mather) while I remember using the FAL not so long ago. It's more fun.

Well you can disagree, but you can't support it in any way at all. So there.

Sure there is... long range. FAL deals out more damage.
You should start a thread called Why My Ping Sucks.

Personally, I use weapons on an aesthetic basis. I have a general bias toward weaponry that looks good. When the first weaponpack was released I refused to use the M4 simply because it looked stupid in the unaimed position.

Haha I used the use the M16 nekkidly while only walking (never standing still) because it looked so cool from third person view - and firing semi auto :p

With the M4 you can fire it in controlled bursts and you will down the tango, with FAL you actually have to aim both vertically and horizontally while the M4 with it's controlled bursts will be alot more forgiving for the vertical aiming part.
That and with the reflex sights you can go for headshot while with the FAL when you do that you have a chance of losing your target.

Well that may not be the case in the next pack since some changes will be made. And it's not the last time for AK either.

Hey, that's the first screenshot of me!

Some shots were made of the opposing teams standing together in the small central pool of a map made of a Bank. I'd like to see those too. Of course, some people cannot resist throwing a nade in a crowd. :shake: I am thankful to the participants for seeing my idea of a team-shot becoming a shared wish, and a reality. Unfortunately, I was using PrintScreen instead of F9 .

Anyway, I think all weapons are great, and anyone can be put to rest with any of them. Co-operation, communication and tactics are more fun for me than pixel-hunting with lightning fast reflexes. I frequently find myself resorting to the latter though.

That wall in Siberia is well known to be penetrable. The AKMSU will do the exact same thing, and maybe even the rifles (don't know off the top of my head).

That's Derelan, being pointless again.

Don, how the hell did he know you were there? Did he retreat and open fire, was it ghosting or what?

edit:
Interesting to see the bullet holes being just about all on the same height, wonder if he reloaded in the progress (he probably was using drums though).

My point was that CQB in INF isn't all about luck and reflexes, it does take some tactics, anticipation, and knowing your opponent. Some players are very good at knowing which move to make, where to find the enemy, and where to sit and camp. Others, like ecale and yourself, blame it all on cheating.

I don't blame it all on cheating. But i start to wonder when one person can consitently strafe-jog around a corner and shoot me in the head with any weapon he takes, and on top of that, always seems to know where everyone is even if the other person is sitting still and hiding (in other words, making no noise).

If you've had enough experience with a particular map, you begin to know where people like to hide. Solution? Stop hiding.

i don't feel like arguing with you so whatever, but i'm more than intelligent enough to know the difference between knowing the map and being able to see me through the wall.
You also have to take into account that your gun is alot longer than you think. I often find people behind walls because either their gun is poking around the corner, or because of the flaw in all versions of UT in which the gun simply pokes through the wall. Solution? Lower your rifle and dont run up to walls/doors with it.

Or open your doors on the side (like any smart person would do, rather than head on). :p Anyway, we should stop talking about Cheese behind his back.
