I think that my Psu from my old computer has died The computer jumped to life for a second or two, then quit.The fans started up, there was a signal on the gpu and that's it. I'm thinking of buying a new one, but I'm not sure if it's worth the bother with the old machine.
Anyone got any suggestions though? The old one was Antec earthwatts 500w.

Corsair CX750M, Corsair RM750x, EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1, or ANTEC HCG-900 (I have this one) are all pretty solid and would be my suggestions. Though what you describe is also possibly a posting issue from the MB. However said posting issues could be caused by the PSU resulting in a damaged board and/or other components.
It is important to remember that with PSU's the wattage rating is its max. You never want to max out a PSU. For most computers 500 is safe. But gaming rigs with multiple cards can get awfully close. You of course probably know this but I am gonna restate it here for anybody who reads this that doesn't.
If by dark chocolate you mean Congolese dark, nope but I wouldn't use light skinned to describe them. I am light skinned, my butt cheeks probably even glow in the dark, so it's difficult finding the words to approximate. Much much darker than Rhianna, a bit darker than Michelle Obama. Are you mentioning skin tone because of the alleged mixing with Asians of some Ghana people?

Thank you for the tips on the psu. I've been looking around and I think I've found a couple of good candidates.
And if it does turn out to be the mobo, I can always use this new psu for a new rig I'm planning to buy... this month I think.
One thing I didn't mention (d'oh): I did remove the battery for a couple of minutes, and the computer seemed to be buzzing with life again.
Safe from the screen. Though it works fine, but not on that computer. But a couple of minutes later the machine quit again.
Pretty okay; work, school, wife had gallbladder surgery...life is happening in its predictably unpredictable fashion! How about you?

Pretty good. My son was born late last month. (second kid) Going through the usual lack of sleep stage, but all is good. We bought a place a few years ago and I'm really digging it. Other than that everything is pretty much the same. Still gaming, still taking photos. Wang still gets rock hard. (pics upon request)
