So what mp3 player/ipod/PMP do you use?

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I've got an iRiver H120 and I hope it never breaks, because all the modern mp3-players either lack support for .ogg vorbis or they are a mere 8-16 Gb (a replacement would have to be 30-60 Gb at least).

supposedly also supports iTunes-files.
Very effective at mass-editing because of the ability to convert filenames into tags or vice versa.

120 GB 6th-gen iPod Classic. Got it as a gift.

You won't find any shìtty iTunes on this computer, though. I use Winamp to do all the syncing duties and, on the rare occasion I buy MP3s instead of a physical disc, I use Amazon.

Heh, I just finished retagging all of my files and was about to post a link to that. Seems the problem is the iPod can't be configured to sort by Album Artist, which is friggin stupid.

Soon I want to move up to something like this if I decide to buy a new portable:

I'll get a mount for it to go in my Jeep and it'll pretty much just stay there, I'll only have it for car use/GPS anyways. The other option is an in-dash touchscreen, like this:

...which would be awesome because I've been planning to build a Jeeputer and having the touchscreen headunit already would make things much easier because most of them come with a VGA-in.

Creative Muvo TX FM. It holds only 512mb (at the time 1gb solid state players were just about coming out). It's old enough that much of the text on it has worn off, and all the silver on the buttons has gone. But aside from those minor aesthetic issues, it works just as well as it did several years ago. Still... glad I didn't get the 128mb model.

When the apocalypse happens... it will likely still be working.

Archos 204 (30Gb).
Didn't cost sh!t (80-90 euros), sounds good enough for a portable, built like a tank and will do anything I need from it .. which is "play music" and "have long battery life".
