RTNP for Mac?

OK, so I picked up a copy of Unreal Gold. So how do I modify the UPack to run under UT? The link didn't give me anymore information, or did I miss something?

FWIW: I have oldskool and coop for UT.

Slight snag, I can't follow the directions because <:mad: > Theres no UnrealEd for mac! I wish Epic would send me the code, so I could compile my own version! (and I could, and would) Oh well, I'll take the instructions over to my friends PC and try to make it this weekend.

Yep. If I had windows, I would just run RTNP on that. Actually, I'm a semi-homeless computer science student, so I generally wander from console to console. Still, wish i could get the UnrealEd source code.

It Works!!

Finally, Success! And only a month later (been sidetracked). It took me a while to figure everything out. The instructions are kind of convoluted, but it was good practice for learning UnrealEd.

Haven't set it up for oldskool yet, thats next. Will that give me the cut-scenes and default weapons and translator? Then to see if it runs on Mac.

Hmmm...

Well, it started to work in oldskool amp'd, but then it just stood there blank on the black screen, so I figured I made a mistake and redid the whole thing. Holy Cow! My UT game works in fullscreen now! (HP Pavillion with intel810 gfx, running WinME, a true nightmare!!) I could not even run software mode in fullscreen until now. In fact I can ONLY play it in fullscreen mode now. Still no DirectX though (It actually works now, but is totally unplayable). Sad part is, oldskool amp'd got wiped off my computer, so I don't have access to Unreal, RTNP, or Legacy anymore. Guess I have to redownload everything, 'cuz I don't know how to fix my .ini for it.

Or give it another go, and see what miracles happen this time!
Except now UT Ued won't allow me to edit the UPak:rolleyes: .

Also: all of the default properties code caused errors, so I had to comment them out to compile, including some code. EX:
<ERROR: Unexpected defaultproperties in UPak.SpaceMarine>
:redeemer: :y5:

Well, I did get the cutscenes and default equipment working without using oldskool (which had mysteriously disappeared). Then I resinstalled oldskool and legacy and LO AND BEHOLD, UT no longer runs in full screen mode!:mad:

So glad this is not my computer.:D Me thanks lucky stars every night my main comp' is an imac. Only good PCs are custom made ones.

But I bet your PC is a custom job, not some HP factory preset, right?:)

Actually, I'd still be using the Amiga if Commodore hadn't turned it into a cultist afterthought.

But back to the topic...I actually cut scenes were working without oldskool (except for the intro movie). Still no clue as to the full-screen and direct-X problems. Probably because of Windows ME.:rolleyes:
