I wonder if an impartial observer evaluated the thread, and was asked to vote one way or the other, which side would get the vote for presenting the most convincing argument so far.

Paging Stephen Hawking, Stephen Hawking to thread #45190 please

I wonder what qualth is implying by "impartial observer"

Someone who only belives in what can be explained and demonstrated to be true?

It's a closed case already!

Yeah, that might have not been the best way to state that. It would be interesting to see how things would turn out if this was a trial and the subject didn’t involve evolution or religion, but was more about how convincing the evidence and arguments were.

Jackson said he uses prayer to help him cope with the trial. "I gain strength from God. I believe in Jehovah, God, very much and I gain strength from the fact that I know I am innocent,"

I would have to disagree with you. God is a powerful figure, but most certainly NOT the ruler of Earth. Second not all religions are against gay people, you must be Catholic. The principle of being Catholic is "If it feels good, stop!". Finally as someone pointed Michael Jackson is religious, or atleast he is pretending to be. And therefore i would have to say your post is biased to your own opinions, without alot of evidence. However, i hope you will do better next time ;) .

Shelf Adventure.
Interesting opinion piece.

He pointed out that though the idea of evolution is well-known, the vast potential for further evolution isn't yet part of our common culture. He then gave an example. He said: "It will not be humans who witness the demise of the Sun six billion years hence; it will be entities as different from us as we are from bacteria."

Professor Stuart Campbell took photographs of foetuses at between 12 and 24 weeks' gestation... But the photographs were taken by a new technique showing foetuses younger that 24 weeks looking far more developed than had previously been accepted.

The photographs changed some people's minds about late abortion, including Professor Campbell's. He now thinks that "24 weeks if the baby is healthy is too late". The wider significance of this episode is that the Catholic Church, which opposes abortion, finds that science has done something which helps the Church and not necessarily liberal opinion.

God knows he's not innocent, so that proves Jackson Wrong. So that means he doesn't believe in God!
