Ok .. the server is back up and updated with the new patch. I also added the test track and the beta version of steves new car on there as well :) Enjoy!

k........I'll do the server d/l..........why haven't you setup redirect yet? It would help get new people playing. Who want's to wait around 10 minutes for a 2000kb file to download???

Time... money... lazy... ;) If someone wants to upload all the stuff to a redirect somewhere and give me a link I'll add it. But I dont feel like using my little free time to upload all the stuff myself nor do I really want to suck all the allowed bandwidth from my company webserver for it :p

You know what? As much as I like this quad, I don't think it should be on the server until the final version is out. Right now, its just too fast. On the tunnel test map (love the arrows telling us which way to go by the way;)), it can do the whole map in 1:04, while the second fastest car, the Flair F1, does it in 1:33. It's impossible to race against it in any map with long mostly straight sections. Also, since the server has been a bit laggy recently, it is impossible to control it at full speed.

meh, leave it in. its uncontrollable at those high speeds anyways (unless on testtrack) and yeah lags getting bad @ snipes.

i'd like to see the older cars kicked up a notch to be competitive with the newer releases... cuz its always the same cars being choosen for any hi-speed racing.

and fix the color bug... where everyone elses car is the same color as the one you have chosen for that particular model....rabbit and ctf would benefit as you wouldnt have to guess which (insert color here) SemiSuvII is carrying the flag and could just pick out a different color, to go after the flag

Dont need to tell me the lag is bad... I have been cussing out my ISP for the last 3 days :mad: :mad: Its really pissing me off cause if you are lagging on my server... you can bet your ass im lagging very bad myself trying to play other games :mad:

One of the reasons the QuadCycle is faster is because I set it's top speed to match the other vehicles top speed for the next release. The SUV will loose it's top ranking speed to the formula cars; but all the vehicles will have a higher top speed. The SUV also uses a digital ConstantColor instead of a texture for it's main paint color, I hope the ConstantColor's won't have that problem. Also, it gives the user the choice of 11 different colors:)

i believe the problem was the cars were being set to whatver default was on the client side, because the code was being executed on teh lient, so all cars showed uup as whatever his/her default was(the picked color)(this might be completey wrong, i just took a guess)

so... surely with this digital constant colour we could create an interface so that the user can choose the RGB values for the colour, much like the constant colours in UED?

just pop open the skin the the texture browser, export it, then open it up and use teh zoom tool to look arround in it
