Ravu was so kind to send me a scan of an article found in the Austrian gaming magazine PC Action (2004-08). The text is short enough to be translated:
To Jail With You, Bitch!

In the UT mod Jailbreak you've got to get your opponents behind bars.

UT2004 | Don't worry, the basics of UT gameplay haven't changed. As usual, both teams go up against each other and rake each other with gunfire using the usual weaponry. When a player is out of health points, he doesn't meet his maker but directly goes into the opposition's jail. There, the poor sap waits until all of his colleagues have been captured as well -- unless a teammate manages to fight his way to the nick and to trigger the switch. Then all inmates are put on the loose and the game starts over. The team which incarcerates all enemies wins. In return, the winning party gets to decide how to get the underdogs six feet under. Especially funny: Cheaters are turned into a llama and are publicly pilloried -- like the PCA editors.

Pro + Contra:
[+] Sophisticated game variant.
[+] Intelligent maps.

Conclusion: "Just the right thing for in between."

I forgot to add two "teaser" screenshots. The first one shows Mychaeel spawning and being shot down by the host immediately ("I have no clue why he did not move?!" ... argh!). And the second one is the only capture shown during both takes, so I say "No bail! for Team Blue" :D

The guys and girls from PC Action have recently (Nov. 3rd) released a special edition of their magazine entitled "Mehrspieler Hits" and Jailbreak is amongst the nine mods they've picked for UT2004. Seems like they couldn't be bothered to write a new article about it, so if the attached scan looks familiar to you blame them, not me. Too bad they did not include the latest (ECE) version of Jailbreak2004 on their DVD but kept the "old" version aka JB2004a. :/

However, here is the scan:

Well, as expected, and after a little delay, PC Gamer UK have put the Classic Map Pack on this March's coverdisk! There is a screenshot of the JB-Gauntlet-Classic execution to accompany this. Also, presumably for those who dont have Jailbreak at all, the full Jailbreak 2004 ECE install was put on the disk too, and this comes with a screenshot of the Snifam execution.

The descriptions for each item are the same, except that the Classic Map Pack one has an extra sentence; the last one. I've written the whole description here for you:

Ah, sweet Jailbreak. There wasn't a Game Mode category in the MSU finals, but Jailbreak has won in phases that did. It's a superb combination of CTF and Onslaught with a flavour that is all its own - not to mention the best scoreboard we've ever seen in a game, let alone a mod. This pack resurrects some the classic maps of Jailbreak for previous UT games.

And of course, I've attached screenshots of the items on the coverdisk :)

CONGRADULATIONS

I'm just glad to be helping you guys as most people who play your mod don't bother on posting here.

I like posting the bug reports and contructive critism to all the mappers.
