This is taken from the August edition DVD Disk Side B, which boasts UT2004 Mod-Madness (ie every mod for UT2004 since its release). Jailbreak doesn't have its own article in the magazine though, and although the last bit of the description isn't wholly accurate, its great that its in.

I was just idly watching NBC GIGA Games on TV when UT2004 Editor's Choice Edition came up there, and then (just a few minutes ago) they said that a report on Jailbreak 2004 ECE would be coming up...

...well, the show is still running, they're still talking about Need For Speed: Underground 2, and I'm waiting impatiently. ;) Meanwhile, here's the corresponding article on their website. They'll also be hosting a Jailbreak server tonight; its IP and password hasn't been announced yet.

Since I'm sitting here without a VCR and all my friends in Munich don't receive NBC GIGA at this time of the day (don't ask), I've contacted Sexmachine who's probably sitting in front of his TV/VCR set right now waiting as impatiently as myself...

Some good games on that server. And it was full, too... quite interesting seeing yourself being killed live by the presenter on TV while your notebook is still loading the map... :p

The first map which was played live was JB-Oasis, the second one JB-BabylonTemple-Gold.

Hehe, it was fun while it lasted. Thanks to Mych for waking me up at 11pm (no sarcasm here) to get this "event" taped with my VCR. :) I'll try move the recorded scenes to my PC asap (even though I don't know how to get this to work atm) and post 'em in this thread later on. Looks like the GIGA dudes like our MOD a lot. :tup:

No problem, I was awake and sitting in front of my pc. I´m glad that you called us just in time to join the server - it was nice to share jail with the presenter of GIGA games. :)
